I was wondering if anybody knew if there are any changes from optimal strategy on full pay jacks or better 9/6 vs. jacks or better super triple play that has a 99.75% pay back?

I couldnt find any information on this when researching the internet.

The difference in the pay table is the full house quads, and straight flush all pay more on the super triple play.

Only thing is you have to bet 6 coins as a max bet instead of the traditional 5 to get the full pay.

Pay table for job - 9/6 - 99.54%. 1-2-3-4-6-9-25-50-800
Pay table for job-s3p - 99.75% 1-2-3-4-6-11-100-60-800

I just went to the same game analyzer on that link and it gave me the 99.75% payback. The pay table i listed above was already set as the default , i didnt have to change anything. You have to make sure you choose "super triple play" instead of "standard video poker" for game catergory.

You have to correctly enter quads as 500 coins, not 400 coins like I was, my bad.

The only strategy change i can think of here , would be to hold a low pair instead of holding 4 to a flush, since the quads pay 4x more and the full house pays a little over 2x more.

I know its a long shot to draw to quads from a pair or a full house to a pair, but its happen to me before. Just not sure if it happens frequently enough to justify changing the job 9/6 optimal strategy.

Does anybody know?

The two games have the following differences:

If you choose minimal variance plays in case of tied optimal plays:
122,064 hands (out of 2,598,960 hands) or 5,332 hands ignoring suit permutations, are played differently.

Here are two examples:

Hand: 3D JD AC 2C 6C
JoB Hold: JD AC EV=0.4783
S3P Hold: JD EV = 0.4966

Hand: 10C 10D JH QS KS
JoB Hold: (either 10) JH QS KS EV=0.8723
S3P Hold: 10C 10D EV = 1.0522

If you choose maximal variance plays in case of tied optimal plays:
122,184 hands (out of 2,598,960 hands) or 5,338 hands ignoring suit permutations, are played differently.

I don’t have the general strategy for the game.

Why doesn't the wizard strategy maker work for this? Betting 5 or 6 or 99 doesn't matter for strategy. When you're looking at which 5 cards to hold your bet size doesn't exist, all that matters is hand payback and probability.

The members of the VP army responding know, but for the benefit of others this is the machine pay table under discussion: JoB-SP3 6-coin wager: 5 10 15 20 30 55 500 300 4000 (EV 99.75%). Yes, JoB is a losing hand.

Did you ever check the pay table for super triple play at parx. I think it pays 25 not 30 for 6 coins for flushes not 30. Which would make the EV 98.85 not 99.75.
