I'm heading out to Vegas for a week in 10 days.

1. I was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction to which casino/casino's have the highest cash back percentage by vegas standards?

"Cash back" meaning: free play (not concerned too much with comp dollar percentage)

Mostly I play JOB 9/6 in Atlantic City - and the cash back percentages are pretty dismal out there - (you basically have to play on multiplier days for it to be a +EV play)

Borgota being the best at .125% free slot play ($1.25 cash back on a $1,000 coin in) (must play $4,000 coin in 1 session to get $5 FP).

2. Is the cash back at the CET properties (Total Rewards) in Vegas as bad as they are in Atlantic City?

Atlantic City CET properties (Ballys, Harahs, and Caesars):
$20 coin in on a full pay JOB = 1 tier credit- or $1,000 coin in gets you 50 tier points equivalent to .25 cents (2/1 conversion rate) or .025% cash back.

(more if you are diamond or seven stars and convert reward credits to slot play, diamond= 1.75/1, seven stars= 1.25/1)

3. Also, does anybody know of any multiplier bonus days (free play) anywhere in Vegas from 4/27/16 - 5/3/16?
(bonus free play must be redeemable immediately or within 24-48 hours, I would want to use it before I leave Vegas)

4. Any promotions for new member club sign ups/ anywhere?

(I read palms had a $100 free play for reaching $12,500 coin in, but this was a blog dated in late 2014, not sure if that promo is still good)

Thanks for your help!

If you look at the VPFREE2.COM website it shows the standard cash back for must casinos.

The Plaza casino is running a $500 loss rebate for new players. That is probably the best one going today.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

No idea about CET properties, but South Point is always "decent" anyway: 0.3% cashback in points spendable immediately on freeplay, a check at the cashier, or you can download as freeplay. No idea if they will do any point multipliers, though they tend to do 2x on holidays. They have up to $2 single line NSUD and 9/6 BP deluxe. If you buy something at the Smith's on LVB & Blue Diamond the back of your receipt will have $25 in freeplay for new signups.

Palms does still have that promo going on for freeplay which makes it a better play for a first timer, and they have $1 NSUD and $2 9/6 JoB. 0.25% cashback and if you play during the weekdays you can earn an additional 0.2% in freeplay, cash, or gift cards (unknown right now what it will be the first week of May, but for the last week of April it's Kohl's and McD's gift cards). 2x VP lately on Wednesdays, which would be 4/27, and you can get some freeplay coupons from the American Casino Guide and LVA Member Rewards book. All of these things will stack for a much better overall return. The freeplay coupons can be used in series, not simultaneously. That is to say, if one freeplay coupon requires 5k play and the other 10k play, then a total of 15k play will be required to use both of them, but you'll get 2x points, 0.2% in gift cards, and 0.25% cashback on the entire 15k in addition to the signup $100 freeplay bonus.

Drich - I already have been using "VPFREE2.com" ((very informative site) to search for certain VP games - however, how would I navigate or where on the website can I find the info regarding a casino's standard cash back?

Thanks again.!

(updated) Drich - nevermind, I found it! I didn't realize before there where additional tabs for each casino, one of those tabs being players club. Has info there. Thanks!

What exactly is 2X VP on weds?

Does that add +.25% cashback (VP on wed) in addition to the normal .25% cashback, + .20% on weekday, for a total of .7% cashback?

thanks.

Do you know if the 9/6 JOB 5 play, 10 play, and 50 play machines give the .25% cashback, or are those the machines that only give .125%?

$1 Coin-In = 1 Point on Most Video Poker
Free Play or Comps: 400 points = $1 (0.25%)
$2 Coin-In = 1 Point on Some of the Better Video Poker
Free Play or Comps: 400 points = $1 (0.125%)

(update)

I think they do earn the .25% cashback, because I don't see any notations in parenthesis next to those games on vpfree2.com like they have on the 100%+ vp games - where it would specifically say (excluded from promotions or points) or ($2 per point).

Actually I'm not sure if they have card readers or what kinda points, I'll check next time I'm Downtown.

Djact probably knows perhaps you can ask him.

stabworld what are you actually trying to achieve? Honestly, if you're trying to be a VP AP you probably need to re-evaluate your strategy concerning all that NSU/ 9/6/10/7 or whatever higher % games and crappie cash back. Hell you are better off learning poker and playing 1-2/ 1-3 NL.

If you are someone who's retired, well banked and just looking to kill time make a little and enjoy free meals or whatever. I say go for it, it certainly beats playing checkers in the park and feeding the pigeons.

---------------------------------------------------
A question for ME or whomever: If you have unlimited time to do a rebate and you always played on a +EV game (like FPJW) every day wouldn't that make the rebate worth close to $500 considering your win goal isn't a factor because you're playing FPJP for the rest of your life?

I have been playing poker professionally for some years now, 1/2, and 2/5nl, - 1/3NL is not offered too many places on the East Coast. I'm just starting VP AP. I did AP blackjack last year, but got tired of the back offs, the 86 's, huge swings in bankroll, the act you have to put on at the table, being treated like a criminal for playing a game, etc.

Unfortunately, playing poker by itself, dosent' earn you enough comps, for free rooms, etc., unless you are soley dedicated to giving that casino all your poker action. I do need the rooms, as I live far from the casino's. I usually stay in A.C. for half the week.

In answer to your question, the short answer is yes, I'm trying to become a part time VP AP. Long term money being the obvious reason, but also to get the free rooms as a supplement to my poker play.

Not too mention playing live poker 30-40 hours a week, gets so boring, I feel like i'm on auto pilot, going through the motions, most of the time at the poker tables. It will be nice to have something different to do.

Also, the video poker allowed me to accumulate tier points pretty rapidly at the CET properties, granting me diamond status. I did it split up over 2 seperate days (multiplier days) with the earn 2500 tier points in a day and get bonus 5000 tier points. The diamond card is nice to have, I will skip the lines in the CET properties for hotel check in in Vegas - free rooms in vegas, no resort fees :), and free food and drinks in the diamond lounge while in vegas. My vegas trip is basically taken care of expense wise, with the exception of my airfare.

I also have to say, I have been fortunate enough to hit 3 royals in under 36,000 hands.

Depending on the game and denomination playing a loss rebate the standard way people play with a win goal or lose everything strategy. That makes a loss rebate worth significantly less than the amount of the rebate.

Ya, my plan is to play $1 JOB 9/6. I was contemplating playing double bonus 100.17% for the higher payout - but I decided against it for 2 reasons:

1. I'll lose the $500 a lot quicker due to the increased variance.
2. I haven't learn the game yet. Currently I only know JOB strategy, and I want to play more JOB before learning a new game.

I do see what you saying now. if you break it down into multiple outcomes:

(a simplistic example for the sake of argument and illustration)

Playing a loss rebate of $500 100 times:

-50 times you would have reached your win goal and stopped play, (the loss rebate had a value of $0)
-50 times you lossed $500 (the loss rebate had a value of $500)

the $500 loss rebate over the 100 possible outcomes had a total value of $250.

2x VP refers to double points on video poker on Wednesday. I probably assumed based on your original post that you were more familiar with some of the terminology.

Ok so in regard to the palms $100 free play promo. Not as good as I thought it would be.

Heres why:

When you reach the 12,500 points in video poker and claim your $100 free play - they do not allow you to accumulate what you normally would get in slot cashback (.25% on the 12,500 points).

In addition - although there was 2x vp points (wed)- there was no weekday + .2% cashback on top of the wed 2x vp points. So instead of a total of .7% Cashback - it was .50% cashback.

Little dissappointed.

Yep, your right, the only available videopoker machines that accept free slot play is the machines at the bar. (JOB 6/5. - horrible).

I lost the $500, I have to go back today to get $250. And then again tomorrow for the other $250. Looks like Im stuck playing the crappy JOB 6/5 at the bar for my free slot play.

If you look at the VPFREE2.COM website it shows the standard cash back for must casinos.

The Plaza casino is running a $500 loss rebate for new players. That is probably the best one going today.

This is a great promotion, I'll just keep playing until I lose $500 - all the while racking up cashback and comps.

Risk nothing - free shot at royal - Can't be that.

If you get up $200, quit.
