Tringlomane,

I could probably figure it out myself now that you've kindly spoon-fed us all the exceptions to UXDW, but in case you've already done it: I notice that Wizard's Optimal Strategy UX pages often have exceptions predicated upon the player already having certain multipliers, I suspect that may be the case with some of your hands, but do you know of any for sure?

For instance, if you had 12x multipliers loaded from a previously dealt SF, for example, I should imagine Wild only would be superior to Four-to-a-Straight (No Gaps)...though I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, JBs method he outlined in that older thread assumes "multiplier independent strategy". So I don't know any multiplier dependent exceptions offhand. In cases where multipliers are highly loaded like you say, then yeah, close plays may change as they are more weighted to playing the current hand optimally.

But you picked a bad example actually...on this version of deuces wild since it's so poor paying (why are you playing this dj??? lol), hands like W789 (1.0000) are significantly better than Wild only (~0.967) in the standard game.

Actually holding W789 is weaker in the UX version of the game than the standard game, but both are still better than Wild only.

Its for a play I come across a lot involving shitty pay table games.

So a StrictlyAP juicy-level play...haha

Got it.

But the other UX games are worse than the Dueces? Deuces is the "best of the worst" paytable for ultimate x...but a lot of casinos do slip in 7/5 JoB or 7/5 Bonus Deluxe (both better than this return-wise). You like Deuces? Deuces works better for this play somehow? StrictlyAP played deuces a lot too.

not as good as strictlyap I'm guessing. I like deuces because I have the same thought as Bob dancer: if EV is same or very similar I play DW because I love the 4 wild cards.
