Please tell me you are trolling and don’t actually think you need to show ID to walk into a Las Vegas casino! I walked into the Rio, Palace Station, Sunset Coast, and Red Rock without showing any ID last week. (It is possible Circa is different….). But it can’t be the law in Nevada.

Some years ago a few friends and I went on a Vegas trip. One of them brought her baby with her. She was playing video poker with the baby on her lap. The baby was not 21 and didn't get ID'd

I saw a woman playing slots with a baby at Red Rock. It didn't take long before security told mom to leave.
They didn't ID the baby either.

I've gotten several emails from scammers who address me by my real name - and it is creepy
they obviously have hacked into databases where I have communicated with legitimate businesses by email
it is bothersome to see this - I'm hoping their hacking is only superficial - and that they can't get stuff such as account numbers
but I don't know - I'm not at all sure about this
I get several scam email attempts every single day - a few are tremendously deceptive - most I can sniff out right away

Your calls to NGC are mostly meaningless. When it comes to gambling and the law it's best not to take someone's word for it, even if they are supposed experts or employees. There are too many amendments and much vagueness when it comes to some gambling laws.
We had a discussion about using your phone app in a casino for VP. I don't know if it's technically illegal or not. I do know that I once read(years ago, so I'm sure the statute has changed since it was too broad) that even using a computer at home on simple game trainers and then using that information in a casino to gain an advantage could've technically violated the law at that time.
Even attorneys get it wrong. You can have one attorney claiming you could spend time in jail for something while a different attorney is claiming not only isn't it illegal, you're getting paid for them violating your rights.
So again, unless you can quote the law and properly interpret the law your calls to gaming control are meaningless.

I will admit I have not been to Vegas or much outside of the KC area when it comes to casinos, so my experience is purely for the KC area. However I feel there is a disconnect between Alan and everyone else because a few of the casinos in KC are 21+ only and require proper identification to gamble, so I have experience in something similar to Circa. The casinos in my area that are 21+ not check everyone on entry only those that look close to legal age or are known to not have ID, however if requested by staff you must presented it or your will be asked to leave.
I do not know if Vegas gaming regulations are similar to my local gaming commissions but I have talked to KRGC (Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission agents) and they said the same thing that Alan is claiming the Vegas guys are saying but a casino in Kansas specifically does not check everyone at the door, but requires you to present ID when requested.

My guess is they would have security escort you out and if you refused they would call police or Gaming for a trespass.

In my later clubs, we got id from everyone who walked thru the door. They were all scanned, and many fakes were discovered. It's a great way to get a mailing list, and it also makes it easy to identify possible witnesses, as we had cameras sync'd with the scanner.

I'm no lawyer, but my googling of NRS 463.350 shows a requirement that players to be 21, though there is no mention of an ID requirement. Don't know if another chapter addresses it.
This 2012 complaint against Harrah's cites violations for allowing underage gaming and drinking, but without mentioning a requirement to ask for ID. It simply says Harrah's actions constituted an "unsuitable method of operation" under Gaming Control's 5.010 and 5.011. Those regs don't mention an ID requirement, either.

A few years ago, I was at Sams town for a wrestling show. After the show, I was playing some VP when I saw an older woman pushing a baby carriage, smoking, and pulling along an oxygen tank. She plopped down at an end slot machine, rocks the carriage, which was in the public walkway, while playing the slot, smoking, and sucking on her oxygen tube. It reminded me of the influence our grandmothers had on our early lives.

Yesterday while driving around I saw a pickup truck with a baby carriage rolling around in the back. I don't know if there was a baby in it, but I sure hope so. I miss the good old days.
