The extender has been on submariners bracelets for some time but the Glidelock clasp is something newer, I believe since 2012.

That's a great watch your brother has and yet another example of how certain watches may be worth more today than they were when bought new even at full retail.

When we were kids one of things we didn't understand about Rolexes was how they didn't have any sort of serial number or markings on the back which made us think they were all fake. Of course now I know that Rolex almost never puts any markings on the back of their watches, with a few exceptions on some very old watches.

I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/

Did I read that right ?

Fees fees fees COVID testing total for two basically $700 Canadian? As much as the round trip flights out of Toronto …. And the $700 doesn’t include the taxi fees to go get tested in Vegas

Well if the WESTJET is going to change your direct flight and you needed to make one stop I guess in and out of Calgary is as good as it gets with the view of downtown and the Rockies . The airport is pretty easy to get around in. Beats flying air Canada every day of the year

I am guessing you guys were going masks required or not? Caesars Windsor just opened requiring masks… also require your name and phone number when entering …after that you move down to the point where you remove your mask for the facial recognition cameras at the ceiling to get a good view. Wonder how that would fly in Vegas.

Glad they opened up the rules so you could make it down there for the 30th anniversary trip. Next trip should be a lot less hassle

Yes you read that right. We didn't want the potential hassle of missing a flight out so we paid for the 12-hour turnaround on the PCR test. My wife was concerned about timing so we coughed up.

We talked with some other folks in line at McCarran and they said they just went to Walgreens off-strip and faked up an address and ZIP code and it was free. The problem with Walgreens (or CVS) is that it can be a 1-2 day turnaround depending on the time of day you get the test. I guess they only send the batch of tests over once per day.

After this last trip my wife is swearing off anything that isn't direct to Las Vegas.

We were going regardless of what the mask situation was in Las Vegas. My wife was going a bit stir crazy over the last 18 months and we really needed to get away. The time we were there -- July 18-22nd -- Las Vegas only required masks for non-vaccinated folks and I'd say only 1 in 5 were wearing masks at the Wynn. City council had passed a by-law that took effect Wednesday July 21st at 12:01AM where employees had to wear masks while on the job. We also wore masks anytime we were in "transportation" i.e.; a taxi, the airport, or on the plane.

We'll be back for March 2022 if all goes well and I'm hoping it does. It seems like Nevada and the US in general is going through the Delta variant now. Ontario's experience was that a fair number of people tested positive, but it didn't necessarily spike deaths like the first three waves did. Hopefully the same holds in the US too.

As for Canadian casinos, I'll probably hit one up on Labour Day weekend just because they've been closed so long so I want to give them some support too. Fallsview will be our likely destination.
