After some huge beginners' luck when I installed the program, it's been taking me down an infinite number of pegs everytime I play, even on the darkside. It learns my preferred bankrolls at different bet presses then drags me down to asking where the ATM is or putting it on infinite losing bankroll.

Tonight's outing had me starting around $620 and I'm playing a $6 PL with one $6 Come Bet and $6, $8, $10 odds paying $12. I doubled my odds when I got above $680, but the machine only let me up there a couple times before the 5, 6, 7-out regime took over. So if I have $8 odds on the 5, $10 odds on the 6, and $6 on the two line bets, that's $30 loss on the third roll, so many times. So in effect I lost to the 5, 6, 7-out 10 times within 231 rolls and crapped out my $300 session.

I tried to put $10/$12 Place Bets on winning Come with Odds Bets and those are the ones that can bring my bankroll up if they get hit enough. (I'd Buy them if I was betting $20 on the 4, 5, 9, 10, but am I paying 1 vig or two when every bet pays a vig and a vig on a win?)

I could come back next time with a $600 session and double my bets hoping to win the first $300 back, but I'd better stick to play money against the computer.

No it doesn't.

If you don't trust the software, there are real dice roll sources, such as Zumma and Midgley, that you can test your play against. The results will not be any different.

Is WinCraps a craps simulation software or real money gambling site? I was thinking of getting some craps software to mess around with. Is this a recommended one?
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

It's a craps simulator, and programmable if you've got the skills and strategies. There's no real money involved for gambling. I start out with $1000 and see how long that lasts. My first time up I got to $17,000+ with a 3-point molly strategy where I would move to higher bet levels when I won a dozen bets ahead. I must have been at the top of my 8th bet level (almost 100 bets ahead) when things started to turn. I lost half back. Tried to change playing styles. Got the worst luck ever to bring me to negative money territory. I've played a dozen different games since and I cannot get a substantial upswing going whatsoever. I suspect "the two finger horns" are giving me bad luck.

I'm back with a new game tonight. I won over $1000 in 158 rolls. I had a $12 Pass Line (no progression) with $30, $40, $50 odds, and $24 Place Bets on the 6 & 8 or $48 on the 6 or 8 opposite the point. Total bets of $90, $100, or $110 on a hand.

I continued last night's game at the next betting level and got slammed for it in true "WinCraps hates me forever style."
I lost $3500 in 327 rolls, so I'm at -$2000.
My next level was $12 Passline with my default progression and odds of $48, $64, $80 that pays $96. Place bets of $36 on the 6 & 8 or $72 on the 6 or 8 opposite the point. I added a Place Bet progression at this level that I didn't get very far in. It was $36, $36, $48, $60, $72, $96, $120, $72, $96, $120, stay at $120. Values doubled up on the 6 or 8 opposite the point. If a new point other than the 6 or 8 makes me split my PB 6 or 8 to cover both numbers, then my progression reverts to half.
Typical hand bets of $132, $148, $164 before progressions were lost on Point 7-outs time and time again.

Wincraps saved you from a major loss at the tables.

Now you know to stay away from place bets and progressions.

I changed my game again. First shooter.
Passline progression of $6, $8, $10, $12, $16, $20, $12, $16, $20, $20, Same Bet
Place Bet 6 or 8 (single PB & opposite the point if necessary): $18, $24, $30, $36, $48, $60, $36, $48, $60, $60, Same Bet
I won the first $20 on the PL, and had a $48 bet on the 6 or 8.
Total win: $146
Buy-In would be 10X ($06 + $18) = $240 (Sets of $060 + $180)
On a $12 table: _10X ($12 + $18) = $300 (Sets of $120 + $180)
On an $18 table: 10X ($18 + $18) = $360 (Sets of $180 + $180)

I'm playing the home game until I get this figured out.
