I have been card counting for a while now and have recently realized that there are more profitable games in the casino with way less heat. I have looked all over but can not seem to find a proper strategy chart for hole carding UTH. I saw MS Stud has a great edge of about 50% but I don't have that game where I live. Can anyone point me into the right direction when it comes to finding the Chart for hole carding UTH?

Hey I appreciate it! I saw that and it doesn't actually give the chart to memorize. I click on Grosjeans strategy and it says the page can't be found.

Search for Elliot Jacobson/AP heat. I’m pretty sure he has the strategy published publicly.

If not, pick up a copy of Advanced Advantage play by Elliot. I’m 99% sure it’s in there but I will check my copy tomorrow.

I don’t think it’s in there,Ap heat was sold to the site that the link above takes you to.
Elliot provides the raw data, with a little work you can figure out a pretty close strategy.
It’s actually a good way to help you learn and understand some of the plays.

It is not in advanced advantage play, at least the first publishing. Paraphrasing, the reason for leaving it out was the sim was too much work.

I didn't give an explicit strategy anywhere for uth.

888 did not make my downloads available.

I completely agree with this. Grosjean actually talks about going from raw data to strategy, it is definitely the most sucky part of the process. But well worth it if you want to learn a complicated strategy.

Straight from the horse’s mouth 🙂

There are so many other content in that Tome, that I think OP should purchase anyway if they are looking to find vulnerable table games other than BJ. Especially since the 888 site seems to have so many broken links.

Here is my full review of the book...

Great country song. Lorrie Morgan. “I’ll be glad to explain it, if it’s too hard to comprehend. So tell me what part of no don’t you understand?“

No "they" don't.

I put up all the data files for UTH on my website in the downloads section. Going from data to strategy is up to the user.

I'm no strategy expert and haven't played in forever cause there's no games around but I think a simple strategy is if you have at least a 10 and both your cards are over the dealers one card, then you bet 4x. Although betting 10/5 4x is a bit aggressive if cover is important to you. Also you bet A7+ even if the hole card is above 7+. On the river I think you call if there at least 10 cards left in the deck that don't beat you. Something like that.

You can go here and put in any 2 cards and 1 card and see what the percentage is. You can also put in board cards if it's preflop and you know one or if it's post flop and you know all 3. Pre and post flop you would bet if your equity is over 50%. On the river I don't know what the equity has to be but it's pretty low since you are only betting one more unit to save/make 3 units.

There is a thread devoted to this. Anytime I open the website, any time I go to post. Pretty much any time I interact with the code.

No, not according to Grosjeans simulations or human feasible strategy, that is far too aggressive on smaller favorites to give up post flop equity, gives up some edge along with drives variance way up in an already high variance game. Suits matter and more importantly so does the equity from options/information on further streets matching you’re giving up by betting every favorite pre-flop, I like to compare the marginal favorites to in blackjack splitting 10’s against a 5/6 you have strong positive equity but not as much positive equity as the alternative of standing.

Kicker of 10 or higher and second card matching/exceeding hc sandy posted is reasonably close but not quite, there’s different decision break points for face cards+ and for low/mid pairs with higher dealer cards, any pair is wrong, a few will get to where between counterfeited frequency+dealer match later fold equity matters enough. The decision making gets hairier post flop.

I would count the hands played per hour when you play this game, if you’re assuming 30+ with a fullish table you will be overestimating more often than not. Between the shocking frequency of dealers who deal this game in the teens number of hands per hour, scouting and lowish number of quality games, it’s tough to say it’s a really a better opportunity than counting if you’ve got a bankroll and don’t care much about preserving the store.

What does this mean? I’ve never heard of this part.
