UH OH it was Rainbow Roulette in 2014 at Raving Table games conference. Seem this obscure website I used as a reference had the right picture but the wrong name.
That's what I get for accepting that information and not verifying. Not all sites as reliable as this one SIGH !

But if it never gets played and is a
'stupid bet', as the dealer says, why
do they keep it.

Dealers are generally not privy to the performance stats of any game on the floor. I would never trust the opinion of one dealer, positive or negative. What I would trust is management keeping a game on the floor, that really is the only thing that counts. Keep in mind that prior to the Rainbow version of the game, Golden Gate had the Riverboat version. So the Luck Bros. have had that installation for quite a while...and Golden Gate/The D management aren't stupid.

I know if I were independent, trying to get my game out, I'd offer it for free to whoever did the field trial.

So the game is about to take off any
day now. Good to know.. We wait
very patiently while the sound of
crickets plays in the background..

While I didn't think my idea was all that original, I'll keep it in mind that if its normal, then it's not much of a selling point.
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? Note that the same could be said for Religion. I.E. Religion is nothing more than organized superstition.

Rainbow Roulette got discussed today on the Five Hundy Facebook group, so I made a comment and linked to this thread.

As long as this thread talks about my game, I might as well put in a link to that too.

My biggest concern with the longevity of poker for roulette is this... The game has a 22.3% hit rate, which is attractive. However, of that 22%, 19% of the time players are going to win a 2 to 1 on a three spin roulette wager. Around 1.8% of the time (about once every 150 spins, remember each wager lasts 3 spins) players will win 8 to 1 and 1.2% of the time (about once every 300 spins) they will hit 25 to 1. In a game that many players sit and hope to hit 35 to 1 on a single roll, I'm just not sure there is enough juice to make it worthwhile to play. Of course the possible 100 to 1 or 500 to 1 payout potential is initially attractive, but the .015% chance of a payout above simply hitting a single number for 35-1, in my opinion, is simply lacking in excitement.

I have been trying to brainstorm on how to drop down the hit rate to around 12-15 and allowing you to drive up the low level pays, but I'm honestly not sure how to get it done.

I obviously hope the game gets out and is a hit for Dave, which I have said to him in person. But these are my concerns to be addressed in future revisions, if possible. As always this is simply my own opinion and can be way off...

The fatal flaw for that wager is it's a three spin bet. Needs to be resolved in one spin, or interest will be extremely low (as it obviously is). I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I'm pretty confident that's the reason this is is no casinos.

Is it possible that this might be a good match for Electronic Roulette Game.? ?
