Hey a casino around me now has a bank of these machines. IGT Lucky coin link. I have a picture but I don't know how to post it. The reason for me posting this is I am pretty sure its beatable, been playing with it a little bit. you accumulate coins on the bottom to trigger a feature. For now I only been playing when 4/5 coins are in and having success. The number of coins already in depend on which bet level you choose. Otherwise classic persistent state. On the lower bet levels you would have 1/5 to start, on the highest would be 3 I believe. What you guys think?

I'll do you one better: Here is a Youtube video where an IGT representative explains the way the machine works:

I haven't seen this one in the Wild yet, but four coins might well be good assuming that the coins hitting the bottom is actually random and comes with a particular probability. Since we're talking about IGT, I would tend to think so, but you never know.

If I saw some 4/5's, I'd definitely play test it, but I would keep good accounting of my results on it and the average number of spins for the coin to hit. Here's a link to a video of it actually hitting the fifth coin, though he started with three coins:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxNLA-jkD_A

In that video, he was also using Free Play on a variable state machine, which I absolutely hate, unless you know you can get all of the Free Play through on a single machine ahead of time. I get that people want to use the FP on 100%+ return, but it's also a good way to give the casino a roadmap of what slot machines they need to be looking for AP's on, imo.

Anyway, you just want to track your actual results, average number of spins to hit the fifth coin, result from the coins going up, etc...Also, after you have done it one or two hundred times (free data if you can watch people play, btw, though the coin probability per reel may be much higher the fewer coins there are...so I wouldn't necessarily assume that the coin probability is the same either way) I always recommend removing the best one or two results from your sample and not including those when trying to figure out play points.

If you're absolutely killing it after removing even your top one or two results, then maybe even 3/5 is a play and you can begin getting data on that. If you're not extremely profitable, however, then 4/5 should be assumed to be the only play and you should not play 3/5, but you can watch others if you see they are playing 3/5.

If the coins aren't random, then it is likely never a play unless you can learn positive progressive play points, though it's quite possible that the progressives never go positive on their own. Since it's IGT, I'd operate on the assumption that the coins are random, but I want to make clear they might not be. If you end up on the losing end after playing 100-200 four out of five situations, then it might not just be being on the wrong side of variance.

You'll also notice the return from the coins in the second video was dog crap the first time, which isn't really unusual on any of these sort of IGT variable state games, so that's why you want to keep results over an absolute minimum of a couple hundred attempts.

this is the game yes. It would be impossible for 3/5 to be a play since the top bet start with 3/5. This mecanic is very similar to another IGT game which is called Lunar Discs, which has accumulating discs, and depending on bet levels you start with different amount of discs. My instinct tell me that its better to have 4/5 at a lower bet level where you start at 1/5 than 4/5 at top bet which start at 3/5 so because of that i have been focusing on the lower bets mainly.

It would be impossible for the top bet to be a play at 3/5, but the coins themselves could have different probabilities on the top bet. These are all things that we don't know unless and until we can get a lot of data. Coins might be more frequent on the lower bets. We should also assume that progressive pays, particularly the top pay, is significantly more likely on the top bet.

Anyway, I agree with you that if anything is going to be a play, then it's going to be 4/5. Just make sure to keep track of your results and watch other people if they are playing 4/5 when you get the opportunity. You'll want to know the overall result, the result from hitting the coins and the number of spins it took to hit the fifth coin. The more samples you can get; the more sure you can be.

You should also avoid reading too much into one game looking like another game. I forget the name right now, but there's a game that looks like it would be a Golden Egypt clone, but the coins are far less meaningful on the game that looks like it would work the same way...it's the one with all the firecrackers that have prize values at the top. Anyway, I think that game is only a play if you already have one of the first three reels that are going to be wild for a spin; my opinion is you will get killed on that game if you try to collect coins (without having any reels already wild) like you would on Golden Egypt.

Another thing to look out for on that game that looks like GE is if you have money in already and go to switch bet amounts to check coins, then the machine will automatically spin anytime you switch bet amounts. You will want to make sure you have no money in when checking that one and check them all (and remember which bet amounts have wild reels coming, if multiple) before doing anything.

I know the game you are referencing, however that game is made by AGS, while GE is made by IGT. The game i am comparing this new one to is from the same company and you know like me that companies recycle their shit all the time into new skins, and or remove a feature and call it a day.

From my limited experience in this new game, I am already way ahead, took down already 2 or 3 bonus features, took down also a major jackpot, a few minis too. I also don't ever keep track of anything has I am only doing this part time nowadays but from my experience there is no doubt that there are opportunities here. If you want to be extra cautious go ahead but I'm sure as time goes people will start hawking theses. If you take the plays before other people figure it out that where you make your money.

I agree with you; I just think it's something to keep in mind. Just because something is probably true doesn't necessarily mean it can be incontrovertibly assumed.

this game seems high variance.
$12/spin, i won $12 and lost over $100.
on the next machine, someone won 60x his bet and it wasnt free games.

oh, another time I got 7 free games and only won 20x bet.
that includes getting 5 coins twice.

Overall in 5 plays, i've lost 4 of them.
Never hit any of the progressives.
Craps is paradise (Pair of dice). Lets hear it for the SpeedCount Mathletes :)

That other game looks to me to be a (with 4 different bet levels) 3/4/4/5 HIGH var adv play with very limited data (and maybe 3 on the first one as it's low overall money risk (vs % (while still vetting game))). The money is all in the re-trigger/bonus, vs this new one, maybe the same with the accumulated landing on the ones spinned? no clue, but seems like one of those border adv plays that only are there when a ploppie either is TOTALLY clueless (after watching some slot tourneys I now understand this DOES happen) or runs out of money.
