I decided to post this thread in slots since I will end with a Slot and VP Jackpot hit in the last 2 days. I mentioned in the D Day Thread that I would show some pictures of my recent Vacation to Malibu if anyone was interested. I thought it might be nice to share with some of the die hards that it is ok to take a break from anything AP and just relax and have some fun. A few of the players I have known for over 20 years never seem to take a Vacation or do anything other than bang out the next play. They laugh or scoff at me when I tell them I am going to Hawaii for 2 weeks or going to the gym or playing Video Games. They tell me your gonna miss out on this or that and I tell them I am tired of chasing Royals or Slot Progressives... I need to get my mind right.

So I took my small family to Malibu for a 2 week Vacation renting a house that was on the hillside overlooking the Ocean. More of a Cottage I suppose than a house but IMO it was better than staying at some Hotel. The Property was very secluded and it had a Main House a smaller Guest House and a Small Gym that I didn't even open the door to. Only 3 of us and 2 dogs so we stayed in the Main House for the most part but were out and about most of the days either at the Dog Beach or the Beach. We also rented a 150 HP Boat that was pretty fun for 6 hours. You don't find too many rental places just handing you over the keys with hardly any paperwork or testing. I prefer that method anyway. I gave them 1600 cash. 750 dollar deposit but got more back since I came back an hour early. It was very difficult to find a place that allowed you to fish off of the boat so I figured this place wouldn't let us and I was wrong. Too Bad it would of been nice to try to catch a Yellow Tail or two. Always next time. I must of put about 40 miles or so cruising from Marina Del Rey up to Malibu and back. Good Fun and if anyone hasn't messed about in the Open Ocean I highly suggest it.

We also took in a few Museums and the Aquarium and Zoo. It was 104 degrees at the Zoo and miserable. The only thing that saved us was renting 3 scooters with roofs. My wife was a trooper and waved the white flag after 2 hours or so and we decided to call it. Everyone knows when your wife isn't happy your not going to be happy. We boarded the dogs for a few days but when we picked them up we took a day up into the mountains for a picnic and small hike. The weather was amazing from 75 to 85 degrees day and night on the coast and we ate some good food. I didn't get a chance to go fishing or catch fresh fish like my last Vacation to Mexico so that was the only downside since the Ocean was right next door and all markets or restaurants have to have the fish flown in. Some bureaucratic law about not being able to buy off of the fishing boats.

Honestly though... waking up to the view from the house and hearing the waves crashing in was a nice treat for a desert rat like myself. Along with a little noise from the PCH mixed in. I guess the point is that this was all paid for by advantage play. It is possible to grind out a living and vacations and if you find some serious leaks in the Casino you can do very well indeed. Here a few pictures from the trip.

Oh and by the way I left Vegas with 20k in cash and 2 guns in my car. I was never stopped and was never worried about it if I was stopped. I did not wear any large clown shoes or hide the cash in secret compartments in my car. I thought I would mention this to the paranoid players out there.

Of course back to work after the trip and in the last two days I hit many lock ups but these two are the ones I want to share with all of you and I named the thread after them. The 4 QQQQs were not made at the 4 Queens but I enjoy seeing the number 4 as the first card when I am dealt a four of a kind.

Mark this one up to Burt... Who says you can't beat Slots... oh ya those guys on Youtube and in my Casino Bedroom on the Players TV. How do you win at slots they ask these guys... you get lucky they reply!

Thanks Romes! Believe it or not but the main house is behind all the red flowers and those trees. My wife said that palm was a banana tree and I just agreed. There was a jacuzzi next to it on the back patio. The place ran me 400 a day and had an old world European feel to it. The place seemed to be infested with harmless spiders and I corrected it as much as possible but eating dinner off of the grill and waking up to that view every morning compensated any problems. A person with arachnophobia might not be able to handle it. I told the wife next time we will get the rental directly on the beach. Those run about 900 a day so I guess I was still trying to penny pinch subconsciously but for the most part when I do something like this I overpay for many things. I use that damn the torpedoes philosophy.

I, unlike others, enjoy playing Jokers and Double Bonus... I suppose I'd enjoy it more if it was 100 on the 4 OaK. Here are some pictures from last nights session. I was down about 10k when I hit the larger Jackpot. I got out up 2500 plus 500 in comp.

I actually made a multi-line Royal on this game which was nice.

Thanks for the Malibu TR! Sounds like you all had a nice time, except at the zoo!

Nice hits! I bet it felt good to hit the ground running after some time off!
Expectation is the root of all heartache.

Nice hits Monet, especially the multi-line royal! =D

I wish I had some pics to share back, but the table game big wins aren't exactly something I want to post pictures of ;-)... and most of my machine play isn't similar to yours, if that makes sense!

The Zoo was fine but impossible for us to walk up those hills in that heat. We scooted around enough and seen enough. The animals were tired form the heat as well and well animals in a Zoo never look very happy to begin with. The nice thing about that day is that nobody will forget it. 20 years will go by and they won't forget that day so that in itself is rewarding.

The Jackpots are nice but in reality it makes no difference to me because I am pretty much in action every day. With the Blazing Sevens I did run good on that machine and hit many 7s along with Red 7s and I was up 12k total after the Jackpot. With the Video Poker on the 100 Play I think I left up 4k and the other one was a bail out to get up 2500. This is all pointless though... 2 months ago I had an up of 100k in a month. Then next month which was August I lost 50k and got back +35k after that loss so still losing 15k from the 50. I fired 30 grand off in a 25 dollar Single Line Bonus Poker Machine never really making any hits. I did get 4 deuces and tens or something but if your gonna play that game you better buckle up. 10k is like 100 dollars playing on quarters. Was I playing over my BR... yes. Will I do it again? Most likely.

Actually it makes perfect sense. I have smaller play as well but don't post them usually. A couple years ago when Skyline was running the 3k chase the royal promo I had about 10 quarter royals that I posted on here. I think that it is clear you play more table games and I wouldn't even think about taking pictures or posting from the Pit. The reason I don't play in the Pit is because they just hawk it so hard, I don't even want to bother. I suppose if I was on some crew and we were up to no good exploiting weakness I would be more prone to get into it. I also have the problem of looking like a player. I would actually have to get a whole new persona and wardrobe just to venture into the pit and be more social. This is another reason I don't play poker very much anymore as well... just too social for me. I enjoy machines because your constantly in action making decisions and you can just hide. You hardly have to talk to anyone and you never have to wait for the shuffle or wait for anything. If you lock up a machine you usually can just hop right next door and stay in constant action.

As in not $45 a pull?

Eh, I'd love to play more $5 coin, but we don't always find the same opportunities or have the time to properly pursue them over other avenues.

Everything is Relative I suppose. Here is a short story for you. I was playing the other night. I was playing a game where I was betting 90 dollars every time I pushed the button on VP. The guy behind me was on credit and playing Reels. He was spinning Reels from 200 a spin to 1000 a spin depending on what machine he was playing. he was playing 4 machines from time to time. He had one hit for 150k and other hits as well that were smaller. Needless to say the Slot Tech/Mech was over there a few times. He had to take a break and came back a few hours later. I myself was the only one in the place not locking up a machine. Another Reel player had a few nice hits and a VP player locked up the machine over and over. I lost everything in my pocket which was 12k. I went home and got 20k and went back. I started to pull close to even after another hour or two of play. The Reel Player came back and started to spin away again hitting some nice Jackpots. I heard him get happy and the Slot People were cheering. He hit a nice Jackpot for 240k. I ended up hitting a few lockups myself and left with just over 35k so I ended up winning 3k and earned my comps as well and I never hit a Royal.

My point is that guy was up over 400k when I left. What are his swings like??
I told the Slot Person when she cashed out all my tickets that this guy isn't messing around!
It was around 10 am and all the suits were around calling the higher ups and talking about it with smiles.

When I first started out I had a hard time moving from quarter machines to 50 cents or Dollars. Making the move from Dollars to 5 Dollar Machines was strange but didn't take as much time. I guess you get used to anything after awhile. I remember years ago reading about how Warren Buffett constantly had million dollar swings daily.

My play or swings aren't very impressive when you think about it. I am a very small fish in a large ocean filled with sharks!

I burned though $85,000 on that game in two month in 2012. And it was 9/6 JoB.

That's running really bad. If you were on single line which you weren't you would be like 3 royals behind. Your like 3 Royals behind X 9 with that run which is worse since its the soft JoB game and your playing multi line. You must of had some sort of upswing on the game or some other game... let's here that story as well?

Unless the machine was rigged which I've heard happens.

Edit:

Oh in two months huh... sounds like these players telling me how they haven't hit a Royal on Full Pay games in over 500,000 hands. I guess it happens I just never had it happen to me. I find it odd these players never give me the story how they hit 11 royals inside of 75,000 hands.

Nice TR. There's a really cool museum in Malibu that we used to go to on field trips when I was a kid. I forget what it is called... oh yeah, I'm on the internet. The original Getty, now called the Getty Villa.

The picture of the trees and garden in the circle is from the Getty in LA. Nice place... decent art collection but the views and ambiance is what is key with this place. The tram ride up the Mountain is nice. The furniture collection is very interesting. We went to the original Getty in Malibu as well which is where he started the collection and lived. The best art collection IMO is at the Norton Art Museum... that is... if you enjoy Monet, Picasso, Degas, Warhol, Van Gogh, Degas, and Moore along with others. We didn't get to see the LACMA but it is still on the list. Not enough time to see all the art and museums in LA which are plenty.

I get it. Only the bad beat stories. The real hustlers/players are always telling me the bad beats and crying broke but have millions all over the place!! I respect the guys who have 20k on them and ask me if I can loan them a twenty.

I have $200 to my name. Played DW spin poker tonight. Here's a break down of the number of pairs I got on this rigged ass game. This includes four of a kinds with 2 deuce like 4422K or draws like 2267sA. Fours and twos would could as one each.

2's-- 5
3's-- 43
4's-- 29
5's--34
6's--31
7's--42
8's--23
9's--37
10's--85
J's--73
Q's--61
K's--53
A's--64

This is 100% accurate!! Two deuces on the deal only 5 times!!! And as mentioned earlier, this includes them with other pairs and draws. F this BS. THESE GAMES ARE RIGGED 100%!!!!!!!!!

Stop playing on the Made In China machines. They come pre-shuffled.

So you played like 1500 or so hands and that means what exactly?

I know players like this who track every 4 OaK. They crack me up pulling out the pen and paper tallying up whatever. They write down the time they start and finish. They track every point on the card and dollar in the machine. I'm not against it but I know that it costs serious time to keep those records which costs serious money. I guess they compensate by not toking which makes sense but I'd rather get an extra thousand hands in per day instead of tracking every thing. I don't need to know all my stats. It's simple for me... cash goes up or down. Bank account going up... safety deposit boxes filling up or empty.

This is in Michigan right? They might be rigged over there. You got a lot of flops on a 200 dollar BR... you tracked the heck out of every pair... that's impressive!

Yeah I ran horrible. I had a friend with me who helped track. Anyway, that was my one time ZK rant. 😅Today I stuck with the old stand by of JoB and got a tad bit of revenge! 😎
