All I can think of is that there is a single mother of four on public support putting money into a slot machine. I hope President Trump outlaws this!

The penultimate example of wishful thinking. SOOPOO knows this will NEVER happen.

Under what legal theory?

Clearly there is no contractual breach: the machine clearly stated that a malfunction voids all pays, and the stated pay table shows the highest possible payout: 6500.

Nor is there a tort claim; inter alia I see no damages to her caused by the malfunction.

You clearly know the law better than I. My point is that it won't matter what the law says if she can get in front of the right jury.

Yes, iIt would be great if Trump did outlaw single mothers: there's millions of guys who would be grateful for not having to pay child support.

That is messed up that she was gambling on public money that was meant to feed five mouths, not go into a slot machine. What a shameless POS. She's almost as bad as the lottery winner who still collected and used welfare food stamps while they lived the good life with their millions! If you are now a multimillionaire, why the hell are you still collecting and using welfare food stamps?

Id hardly call a woman dreaming of a better life than poverty the same as one who collected welfare after winning millions

I understand what people believe welfare recipients should b entitled to do but welfare money is budgeted and once she has any left over the rest is discretionary. She is free to buy lunch or lottery tickets. Her choice. There are no welfare police in the strictest sense.

Had she actually won a life changing amount would u still b upset it was off welfare money

Finally the article says she is unemployed. She could hav just lost her job and b on unemployment but of course everyone assumes a black unemployed mother must b collecting welfare

How do you know she's on welfare?

Maybe the government should just control every aspect of our lives.

Ironic seeing how the candidate you supported not only doesn't pay taxes, but last year took a NY State STAR exemption on his property taxes that is designed to help middle class people. Why is a supposed billionaire taking exemptions meant for the middle class?

If you can legally take the deduction/exemption, why not?

Trump said it himself or did you miss that one? You can find it on youtube. He said it makes him smart.

Personally I don't see why anyone would believe that someone who claims to know all the legal loopholes for avoiding taxes would be the one to fix them. Usually, when someone takes advantage of a system, you don't put them in charge of it.

If you know someone can overcome the security in a bank and has robbed them in the past, putting them in charge of your security system doesn't make you safer, it usually means you will have an empty vault sooner or later.

Wow. I would think you of all people would understand why it is you want a guy who can figure out how to beat he system is EXACTLY who you want fixing the problems.

I just can't stop laughing at the fact that you just said that.

This has happened to other casino around US. Instead of paying the player what she actually won she was just given a $100 instead of $10,000. It is not the fault of the player if the machine got malfunctioned because it is the duty of the casino to maintain their slot machine in operation state. If that was me I would decline the steak dinner.

So by your logic if a machine claims a player has won 1 trillion dollars the casino needs to dissolve in a bankruptcy proceeding and give her all the proceeds?

Whatever

The Star program is designed for people making under 200,000. How does Trump legally claim it?

I don't know what the star program is or anything about it. But like I said before, if you can legally claim a deduction, IMO, you should. Is it designed for people making under 200k, or is it only for people making under 200k? There's a big difference there.

Just read this post right now after this thread was recently mentioned and linked in another thread. This is insulting. All I said was that someone shouldn't be gambling government money meant to feed five mouths. That's commen sense, not someone trying to stir up trouble don't like the fact that you implied I am Kentry and implied that I was fake and trying to stir up trouble.
