If a casino game is so misleading, dangling fruit you can never reach, have they violated the public trust expecting fair play and fair games?

If you're led to believe playing should not be passed up, but you should pass, is it wrong?

I propose a certain type of slot game can be winnable with certain settings, and other settings, never winnable. I think it is fine if casinos let people win, but if they choose to offer basically a con, and should be illegal.

We're talking about completion bonuses. If you're the last to try successfully opening the mayonnaise jar, you should stand to expect to have mayonnaise in the jar and the casino shouldn't be able to metaphorically let it be empty.

To me this would be the same as people playing blackjack seeing all little cards come out so obviously, yet only the casino knows they're still not going to be beaten.

Casinos and gaming should not cross the line, but I think into known criminal behavior.

I'm aware of certain redemption games in arcades that blatantly do what you describe, but I can't find a real casino equivalent... can you clarify? By completion bonus are you referring to a game like "Green Stamps"?

Yes that is a completion bonus. I think it is the term normally used. The cost for the bonus at the last click is more than the expectation from the bonus. It can be offered with possible small advantages as it usually is, but when always a disadvantage, cruel and greedy at worst and childish at best. The game shouldn't be on the floor ever. The lottery s self-regulating, used to ripping people off, and local media doesn't go after advertisers. I might write a book and call it the worst casino in america.

That is called marketing strategy. Every industry has it even the casinos the make a very attractive promotion or something else to attract prospective customers. As long as it's marketing strategy works they will just continue with what their doing.

What I had in mind with this thread were the trigger tile games by Spielo such as Jungle Riches or Wild Mermaid.

A video of the game:

I will not remove this post, so don't ask. The cat is out of the bag everywhere I'm sure, and most places have it set to victimize by now, which may have been the original design intent of the game. Even when the settings are good, you only average a few dollars win not counting points.

I did really well on the jungle tile they had here. Had some 60+ spin bonuses on $2.00 bets. Obviously choosing how many tiles to play and what column they were in makes a big difference. Last column tiles suck because you need 5 of a kind or a diamond scatter.

Local casino got rid of the game about 12 months ago. There were some spend $80 to win $6 in the bonus sessions for sure though.

LOL.

I don't think anyone is worried about this type of stuff being exposed.

This version is new but the original has been around for a while.

Much like anything else, if a slot machine is horrible, the players will cease to play it after awhile, then the casinos will remove it from the floor. The mistake is continuing to try to play a machine after you've identified it's not worth your time.

Some games like "3 Kings" are never 100+%, even when bonus stuff is maxed out.

Biggest bonuses on 2013 Spielo "Tile" games were roughly 400x bet ($200@0.50, $1,000@2.50).
Some friends hit a ~250 spin bonus @2.50 for about $1,400 (600x).

I've seen them re-released in the past few months with 5.00 max bet (used to be 2.50).

P.S. Most people I've seen play unprofitable configurations.

To all you squares that want fair, moral, and honesty in this world. Go live in the mountains or on a farm away from society. If your gonna live in big cities or large countries learn how the game is played and stop worrying about illegal behavior. I heard it once said that the best way to not get cheated is to learn how to cheat. Sound advice in this dog eat dog world!

Example: I had a friend find a bag in the room we checked into. He took the bag and some towels when we left. I said: "you're stealing"

He told me that he isn't a thief .. He told me if I like being a thief and admitting it that's fine but he is no thief! LOL

Anything with any kind of lure or gimmick, shouldn't be allowed to be used to exploit players. The casino should be able to be exploited sometimes, but players never should be, since the casino holds all the cards, knows every aspect, has the edge. If it's a con man's trick, they're con men providing gambling or entertainment. I think they're cheating and deceiving people to make the money from people who wouldn't otherwise play. I realize Im all alone believing this, regulators are in on it, stealing money is ok. I'm the lone dissenter and that's fine. To everyone else the casino is entitled to make an edge lying, conning, stealing, tricking, abusing, ****Ing your grandma, whatever.

ugg.. I recently played this game for the 1st time. I played like a dozen times.
last column does suck.

and the bonus games suck too. you only get 5 spins!
I've had 3 bonus games with $0! not a single hit!!!
that's 25% of the games I've played! (yeah, small sample size but enough for me not to play again.)
Craps is paradise (Pair of dice). Lets hear it for the SpeedCount Mathletes :)
