I get freeplay from Plaza downtown and they won't let you play it on video poker.
Does anyone know the best play on slots or keno that I can get the most money back.
thanks,CaseyBingo

We found that out too. We just picked random slots.

I wonder how long that has been the case. You could do it when I did that lost rebate they either have or had, but that was a year and a half ago.

There are stickers on every vp machine in there stating no fp use on them. Even the bar games. BTW, you also have to redeem LVC fp coupons at the Plaza also.

I would just try some new slots, bouncing around till you find one you like for free(play). Slots are a crapshoot for determining returns. I dont think they allow keno, but if they do its better than slots. Less numbers - lower variance.

Actually, I believe there's 1 bank of 3 or 4 machines by the sports book with just keno that FP is allowed on.

Didn't really want to play it on keno. Honestly look, and hopefully you can find a must hit slot that's been run up some, it doesn't have to be +EV just better than a normal slot or keno payback.

I heard picking 2 spots on keno gets 92% back but not sure about that and they have $1 dbldiamond slot that seems to payback good.Tell me this is there a big difference in payouts on $5 2 coin dbldiamond slot ($5000 for 1 coin $12,500 for 2 coins ) and the $1 dbldiamond paying $800 for 1 coin $1600 for 2 coins.I was told to just play 1 coin on the $1 dbldiamond I guess for less variance.

It's to my understanding they changed this to the lowest payback that DD offers during a promotion. There's no actual proof of this, just some fair circumstantial evidence.

The guy that told me about keno is a professional player so I guess I'll just "have what he's having" and go with the 2 spot keno if his 92% is correct that would be as good as possible with their machines. I did notice some machines have no stickers but still let you do freeplay on them.Theres one called Progressive Hits that I've done ok on.I also watch the machines that have to pay by $50/$400(Mustang Money).I get alot of freeplay there so this is a big concern for me.thanks,CaseyBingo

This is one of those "to post or not to post" situations. I think your best bet would be to PM trusted members, or just do your own research.

By doing this, people may be more interested in playing at the Plaza and getting lots of free play. Casino personnel may find out that pick 2 keno is the loosest thing they have going for freeplay and change the pay tables. They may reduce the amount of freeplay they offer. Etc etc etc

Just how appropriate is it to PM 'trusted members' particularly if you are fairly new to the forum, or aren't a 'mathelite' or a long time AP at whatever game(s).
I would be hesitant myself. But I do understand your point, a bit of a catch-22?

It's probably not the, "Loosest," compared to the High-Denom slots, but it likely has the lowest Variance.

If I were the casino, I'd rather he play the two-spot Keno compared to High-Denom slots. In addition to the fact that (some) High-Denom slots likely pay better, I don't have to worry about him hitting something huge on the Free Play. As a player, I would rather play the Two-Spot Keno with Free Play rather than High-Denom slots if what I am doing to get the Free Play (and the EV from the Free Play) puts me at an overall advantage, if I have the advantage, then I don't want the Variance.

If that's what is happening here, seems kind of like a win-win to me.

They have very few higher denomination slots. We haven't figured any of them to be fair slot payouts. DD may have been good at one time but as I said I believe that's no longer the case. It certainly cant be much worst than other slots.

Again the best strategy is to find a slot Must Hit By or a mini progressive that had some move to it.

We are talking a few dollars difference no mater what t you play.

IMO you should never play free play on the best games available. If everyone plays it on that, then the casino may take it out or change the pays. If you lose the best games available, you may lose value on a future opportunity.

QUIT playing free play on 9/6 jacks. Some people claim casinos don't count FP as wins or losses on machines. Perhaps not(but I want proof) Either way It's not a good Idea.

Sounds like you summed it up perfectly.....I will probably do the keno move but last week they were changing pay schedules on them so they may have caught on already. They do still have the 2 spot paying 60.The ones they changed were paying 1 if you got 0 numbers I think but those are gone.Tell me this if you know is it better to play the regular keno or caveman keno?
I have won most of the money back on the $1 dbldiamond playing 1 credit but may have just got lucky. These advantage guys are so smart and sneaky I bet that keno angle is a winner. It's amazing how smart these guys are at every angle to make money off the casino and add the fact that most casino bosses have probably never made a bet in their life. Its wolfs with backpacks vs sheeps in suits.

Absolutely, at least, if it can be done within a reasonable time frame. Unless someone is going to be there, anyway, I wouldn't wait one out just to burn Free Play.

I would normally defer to your opinion, but I respectfully submit that the casino(s) might take the game out anyway, and in such event, then I have just lost the EV I would have had playing my FP on the best paytable available. Furthermore, for the advice to work, it would also require that everyone follow the advice, so if other people are playing the FP off on the good games and you are not, then again, they might get the game taken out while you sit there leaving money on the table.

I don't know how Free Play could not count against the machines wins or losses, maybe it doesn't, but any money taken out of the machine certainly affects the machine's hold.

It depends on the paytable, but you can use the associated probabilities at WizardofOdds.com (and the Keno Calculator for the straight up game) to easily determine the ER of both the regular and Caveman Keno. I will say that the Caveman Keno will have higher Variance than the regular Keno because the Caveman Keno pays are not only incumbent on hitting the two balls, but also hitting two or three of the eggs at the rate you probabilistically should.
