So since Konami makes a lot of slot machines, I've always wondered why we don't see slots themed after some of their video game IP's. Personally I think a Castlevania or a Metal Gear Solid slot would be really cool, then maybe I would play slots more often! Anybody agree that since Konami is mostly known for their video games that its kind of weird that they don't make any slots out of their famous games?

Since I am in the appropriate age (almost 34), I'd love it!!

Considering the music Konami uses with their current slots, I'd say they are half way there in the design! LOL

Some of my favorite games to play in the arcade as a teenager were made by Konami....

KUNG FU MASTER
GAUNTLET
SKATE OR DIE
RUSH'N ATTACK
PAPERBOY
POLE POSITION

I think it's a great idea to have slots themed after some of those.

That would be a cool bonus round symbol, like lining up 3 pictures to make a complete konami code would get you free spins. Also during halloween season they should make a Silent Hill slot. The possibilities are endless.

I believe Pole Position was Namco and licensed to Atari, though the other two were definitely Atari.

Konami has had a number of well-known video games, though, a few from the top of my head are Contra, Frogger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and that vile, disgusting, deplorable Dance Dance Revolution.

They probably have a smorgasbord of other well-known arcade and console games that I wouldn't really know about, I only played a handful of arcade games.

I'm seen a Centipede slot machines in some places before already, though that's Atari.

Looking around at what slots are around now, like how suddenly I'm seeing a lot of Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka ones lately, I take solace that I'm not that old because my childhood hasn't been sold out to the casinos yet. =P

When I was 10-12 I bowled in a league. There Were 4 Of us that would play TMNT every week. That or Open Ice or NBA Jam.

I played TMNT with my friends religiously at many arcades. That and Xmen. Also can't forget Street Fighter II, although there were too many cheap moves in fighting games that ruined many a friendship at that time (cornering was a big one as I remember).

heyyyyy I love DDR! Sure SOME of the music in there was bad and it had a learning curve but I enjoyed some of the earlier games (anything after Extreme 2 WAS disgusting vile and deplorable.) and there was some really good music in there as well, you can't tell me this isn't an awesome song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl4qswoyzi4

I respectfully counter that it does not qualify as a 'song' in any sense of the word that I would use, and therefore, is incapable of being an awesome one.

Actually...I'm kind of getting a headache, how many BPM's is that? 42,000?

My favorite fighting game was the one with dinosaurs. I can't remember the name of it.

Possibly called primal rage but I can't remember.

Yeah, primal rage.

TMNT arcade game was cool. Also the Simpsons arcade game, which I think is the exact same as TMNT with different characters . . .

Konami had a few lesser-known games that fit the 4-player beat-em-up mold:

Sunset Riders
Bucky O'Hare
Wild West - C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa
Crime Fighters
Vendetta

As slot machines? If done right, I think they would do well. Castlevania is still a heavy hitter in the video game world, and has a long history, making it more accessible to more people simply from exposure.

I have seen a few video-game based slots come and go.
Pac-Man, but it was boring. Could've been much better.
House of the Dead (Sega). It was a 243-way, but was volatile and didn't pay often. The bonus round was uninspired and blah.

Have there been any other video-game based slots that I haven't seen?

Also WMS made Attack and Revenge from Mars, based of their popular pinball machine IP

Blades of Steel was a sweet Konami game on original NES. That's the one where you could start a fight and the loser of the fight went to the penalty box!
I liked Gradius too.

As for the mentions of DDR...well, I'm 40 and I still play it. I'll go in to the arcade and play it for half an hour straight..nice workout. But I don't hold the bar like the kids do these days. So I can't play the ridiculously fast/complex songs.

Blades of Steel was awesome, but sometimes had to turn the sound off cause that annoying "makes the pass" every time you passed the puck.

Apparently Konami has done that in Asia. For some reason this game never got localized to America.
