Apparently the people at two plus two have already decided this was a non issue and it was crap... but as i am bored heres a statistical analysis of 53 thousand or so of the persons hands, written in a ~200 or so page analysis of what they think is going on.

So i find this thread - https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/25/probability/rather-scientific-examination-pokerstars-random-card-shuffle-1706272/

which lead me to - https://issuu.com/ionutapahideanu/docs/statrep_-_online_poker_-_rigged_or_

which is not available for download but authors these days usually self publish in different formats and it lead me to -

https://independent.academia.edu/ApahideanuIonut

DOWNLOAD PDF HERE (remember its like 200 pages) -

Glancing over the thread, doesn't seem to be much support. Since the poster mentions 2 possibilities for losing, the decline in skill level seems to be the problem. Based on the assumptions, and nothing else. I can't do anything to analyze anything.

Maybe, there were certainly a number of scams involved with online poker. Some where multiple players would sit at the same table and work together by texting each other hand info.

There was also the NY Sports King poker incident, where he ran an online poker site like Fantasy Football and paid winners himself. Only to be found out as a fraud by not paying people cash outs of $20K, $40K, etc. He would delay the payouts as long as possible or ghost people who messaged him demanding the money. His method of paying initially was using the deposits of new members to pay out the winners, but soon enough the deposits dried up.

Quick anecdote: my friend's nieces, who were not particularly avid poker players or even gamblers, used to get together and Skype to share info while playing at a communal table online. So whoever was playing against them obviously never got true odds while playing on the same tables. They did it just for funsies to more or less feel superior. Imagine what serious players out to make serious money do.

What do you suggest for a FL resident?
I'd like to play in the larger poker sites with lots of players and a lot of real cheap tournaments
I'd like to deposit around 50.00. Yea that's not much but I just want to play for fun
I don't want to be forced into any bonuses
I don't want to have to go through hoops just to refuse a bonus
I should be able to make a small deposit and just decline the bonus. Is that possible?
My opinion, the bonus game is an insidious racket designed to keep 100% of deposits
The ads to the right should be banned :-)

I think a lot of people are playing on ignition poker(they might even be a wizard approved site). I'm pretty sure you don't have to have any bonuses if you don't want to. If you use Bitcoin I'm pretty sure you can make smaller deposits. If not, I don't know what your payment options are. for that amount, you can probably use some type of Visa card, but I have no clue. I can't play there because it's banned to Nevada residents

Use bitcoin, it's easy. Sign up for an account on coinbase (there are options with lower fees but coinbase is quick and easy). You will probably need to provide a photo/scan of your ID. You can link a card or bank account and buy your bitcoin. A card is instant but the fees are higher (i think its like $1.99 up to $100). The bank transfer is slower but higher limits and lower fees. Then you can send your bitcoin to ignition or ACR or whatever.

On ignition you can opt out of any bonus if you want to withdraw funds. Also: definitely download the software, trying to play in your browser will likely lead to frustration and disconnects.

If you want to gamble online, I highly suggest getting set up with BTC. Unless your playing at a Crypto only site (or whatever you call it) you won't fade the market move while your money is at the casino. Wherever you cash out you can move it to your exchange cash wallet immediately. The nice thing about using cryptocurrency over a credit card is that you don't have to mess around with proving to the casino the credit card is yours.

Once you start using Bitcoin and get used to it it's so much easier than using credit cards for online gambling. Cryptocurrencies is one of the best things to ever happen to online gambling.

I really don't want to gamble. Just a little interested.
It would simply be another entertaining distraction such as movies, internet surfing, video games ect
I have money. If they figure out an easy way to make a deposit, I'll do it
No interest in BTC.
I though there was a chance I might get deposit to go thru because my credit cards are connected to casinos
I have the MGM and CET credit cards so my rewards are eating free in Vegas because I pay off balance every month
Apparently a casino credit card is meaningless if I want to gamble online.

Personal update
Just retired and selling just about everything I own including my house.
Transitioning to the RV life seeing everything in the country and checking out every national park
Plan on spending winter in PHX and visiting LAS next spring to just eat and golf. I doubt I will gamble.
Did not gamble on my last trip, just ate and saw Absinthe, O and RUN

You may have to try many different credit cards. It is the credit card processor blocking the transaction not the casino. I used to buy medications oversees and I had the same problem. It took me trying about 7 different credit cards until I found one that did not block the transaction.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

For anyone that missed it, the video was somebody playing nlhe on betonline that got mysteriously disconnected after hitting the absolute nuts straight flush on the turn, after 2 other players in the hand had quad Ks and 9s full and both got it all in. They should've hit a $350k bad beat jackpot and they didnt get it. Betonline later ended up paying it out so the guy took the video down. joeingram1 has a video explaining more in depth on youtube.

It's my personal opinion that even if you're not using BTC for anything, and even if you don't believe cryptocurrency has any long term value, I think people should at least have a crypto wallet and know how to use it. It's really not that complicated. You never know when something might come up.

FYI there's value and having a coinbase or other crypto Exchange accounts since they do airdrops= free crypto for watching a short video or whatever. It just shows up in your account with a few clicks and you can do whatever you want with it after that. For the small amount of Poker you're interested in it should more than be enough to cover it. I've earned hundreds of dollars in free crypto with very little effort. There might even be a way to really take advantage of it, I haven't really looked into it, I just do what's super easy and right there in front of my face. https://news.bitcoin.com/cryptocurrency-airdrops-giveaways/ when you're on coin-base there's a button that says earn free Crypto. I have no idea what's available, and what's not anymore.

It was one of those really big hands that probably would only happen... well can anyone calculate the probability of that specific bad beat happening
