High Striker is an interesting and unique game. Think of it like pre-paying a 2% broker fee to be able to make a zero house edge investment that grows at a rate of 6.15% per second or can crash to zero at any time. You can also sell the investment at any time before a crash and lock in a profit. Once an investment grows 1000x, a sell is forced.

It's probably easier to get the concept by actually playing for free.

All due credit to maker Evoplay for doing something new.

The question for the poll is would you play High Striker?

States RTP of 99.6%. So I assume there are plays were everyone immediately loses? I didn’t observe any in the short time I tried it.

They contradict themselves all over the place. As I said on the page, I think the Instant Crash probability is configurable.

Yep, if we go by the 1 in 51 they state in the game help file. I admit this quote is self-contradicting to other statements in the rules, but it's where I get that figure from:

Quote: High Striker help file

How is the game crash point calculated?
It basically does three things.
First, it mixes the hash with the clientSeed using hmac-sha256
Secondly it gives a 1 in 51 chance of instant crashing
Third, it works out what the multiplier would be if there was no house edge.
Fourth, it takes 2% off the multiplier.
That means if we bet 1.98x we have a 50% chance of winning (again, ignoring instant crashes), and so the house edge is:
100 - (1.98 * 50) = 100 - 99 = 1%.
If multipliers of cash-out and crush are the same, it is considered as a loss.

I might add there is no overt 2% commission paid on wins. If you cash out at 3.14x, for example, then 3.14x is what you get. I think what is going on is there is a deduction behind the scenes. However, if they do it that way, then there would be a certain period where a quick "cash out" would be for less than 1x. So, in the 2% example, they check if the Crush happens before the true odds multiplier reaches 50/49. If it doesn't, they call it an Instant Crash. If it does reach 50/49, then they restart it at 1x. Granted, this would argue a probability of an Instant Crash of 1/50, not 1/51, so I truly don't know what is going and am just picking one way they claim and sticking with that.

If you can see something I'm not, then please let me know. Maybe I'm interpreting something incorrectly. However, if this is a bad help file, it will be far from the only one I've seen in this business.

Wiz said 1/51 end instantly. Not sure how that leads to an RTP of 99.6%.

Nifty idea. I went to their website and first round it went up to ~625x. I learned quickly that was an outlier. I could see this being popular, and the fact that you can look up history will draw in a lot of people who love the roulette history signs.

I think this is a fantastic premise. Might be the best new idea since High Card Flush. I think it might need some graphical improvement to hit mainstream. Maybe a 4×4 racing uphill and then crashing or some other fun looking theme. I'd play it a little and I'm pretty sure it would make some money for the slot department.

Math puzzle time!

If it takes 45 seconds for the multiplier to go from 1x to 100x, How much time would it take to go from 1x to 200x?

Log(200) * 45 / 2 =~ 51.8 seconds

I did it a slightly different method, it increases by about 10.77% per second...

Number of times it doubles when going from 1 to 100 is LN(100)/LN(2) (or use Log base 10 if easier)
= 2/.30103 ( or 4.605/0.693) pr = 6.644
So it doubles every 45/6.644 = 6.773 seconds
Thus 1 to 100 is 45 + 6.773 = 51.773

Interesting every second
6.773 second it doubles (i.e. e^0.693(
So each second is e^(0.693/6.773) = e^0.102 = 1.1077 i.e. increases 10.77%

Not to highjack this thread, but I am currently doing a test on a game called Aviator. You can see it in the Online Gambling forum. It is the same line as these games but has a Max Multiplier of 5000X. Below is a screen shot, check out the bottom left score it's 5000.52%
