I got a call yesterday from an 888 #. They said I hadn't yet responded to the email (I did.) We were able to verify everything over the phone, and I got my $ within a few hours. For whatever reason, there was a 2% fee. Whatever, I'll take the other 98%.

Apparently so, and for larger amounts than I'm cashing out, I guess it's just me. Normally, when I've called in the past they have always answered right away. I've been on hold for a while now, at least 15 minutes that's far.

Today when I tried to log on, it said the website was blocked from my location.

Congrats! Full amount? Or a few percent skimmed off of the top because.... they are an admitted criminal organization?

full amount, they even rounded up to the nearest dollar. I don't know about an admitted criminal organization. The true criminals regarding online gambling is the DOJ when it took crushing actions targeting online poker that devastated an entire industry over night. And for what? I don't see any good changes, regulations or benefits from what they did. They came in, they trashed the industry and left. I can't even figure out who was breaking any laws, especially since it's been proven that poker is a game of skill and skill games are not breaking any laws. I don't know what the motives were but I believe someone got greedy and they figured they could get all that online poker money to migrate here in the United States with some kind of effort to regulate it. That didn't seem to work out very well. the only thing that changed this how fast poker faded out hurting a lot of people in the process. People who really wanted to play poker online found a way to do so.

Back to Mr. Wizard. Now that it appears that 5Dimes has been paying those with accounts the money that was in them, I am once again requesting that you label them as a Rogue Casino, in that they stole significant EV, and thus money, from those with positive expectation futures bets.

I want to get the 5dimes version, but I think they will say it was a requirement of the DOJ deal to make a clean break of the US market. It should also be noted that players got full refunds who future bets went down in value. For example, I had some Trump bets at -160 and those were refunded at face value (Trump was about +110 when the wagers were refunded).

I was told that if you had a futures bet on the NBA, of which there were 30 or so teams, if you had a futures bet on any of the eliminated 26 teams you DID NOT get your money back, but if you had a bet on any of the 4 teams alive, you just got your initial bet back. How in any way you can justify this as anything other than a Rogue activity is baffling. If they also returned the money for the 26 losing teams it would have been different. In other words, they only accepted bets on teams which lost.

The ones that lost had a completed wager so i don't think there is any question that that bet should lose.

I think the bets still alive should have been paid out based on their current value which would have been as fair as they could while still cancelling the wager.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Of course. But they did not do that. They stole the EV from those still alive in the bet. Can't be stated any simpler.

For any that care (haven't read the past few pages apologies), I was payed out. Their payouts were slower, but I was informed by customer support any payout REQUESTED before the cutoff date would be paid and not go to the 3rd party, even if the payout happens after that date.... so long as it was requested prior.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
