Hello Forum

I've been doing pretty good at Roulette on Bovada and stupidly added funds to my casino account under a bonus.

I didn't read the stipulations before I clicked.

Now it looks like I have a playthrough amount of about 100K before I can cash out.

Has anyone out there successfully gone through such an amount or large playthrough?

Any advice is appreciated.

Playing through 100k on a double-0 roulette wheel should result in losses of about $5260.

If you can play BJ or baccarat instead, you could probably trim your losses to closer to $1000.

Hopefully, these numbers are smaller than your deposit bonus...

All online casinos restrict roulette where a bonus
is involved. They know you can get very lucky
at roulette and the 35/1 payout hits the bonus
pretty hard.

I normally play blackjack, 3 card poker, and paigow poker for the play through. I hope to get lucky in 3 card then try to tread water in paigow/blackjack. last time I was able to turn a $100 buy in to $400. I was up $750 but got too aggressive in 3 card poker.

100x play through. Single deck blackjack, double deck blackjack, Baccarat, Sic Bo, Craps, and Roulette do not count towards play through requirement.

This is from email offers I have received. Normally 100% or 150% match on deposit up to $100.

Poker room's not going to count; the way this works is there's an account you deposit to, withdraw from, and use directly to play poker and bet sports, and one to play the casino, and I'm pretty sure we're talking about the latter, which can't become the former until he plays through $100k. I use these bonuses from time to time. Blackjack's your best bet, maybe throw in some European Blackjack or Match Play 21 (in the downloadable client, but fair warning, although there's nothing that affects the game, in other ways it's buggy as hell) to shake it up. Depending how much you have (I'm guessing about $2500?), you should stay alive betting maybe $25 a hand. It won't take you as long as you think. Maybe set up the window so that you can't see your balance, so you don't psych yourself out on your streaks.

Alternatively, if you've got significantly less than that - say three digits - it may be best to bite the bullet: play $5 Joker Poker (about fair with perfect strategy) until you're broke or you're above $2000 or so. The playthrough will be forgiven if you lose it all. Or hell, maybe play single-0 roulette one way at $75 a pop until you hit. It won't itself help you with the playthrough, but you'll have a fair shot getting to a point where you can deal with it, and again, running out of chips means a clean slate.

(Incidentally, the bonus you're referring to, 100xOdds, is a lot simpler - they just don't give it to you until you've already got enough points.)

Yes, that's their motive. It's why they disallow video poker as well.

Craps is excluded. For just that reason. Although if you were going to do that, it would be better (slightly worse in EV - $3.19 lost per roll compared to $2.78 - but the point of this strategy is clearly variance) to put $3 on midnight, rather than just "praying."

Not sure in what kind of tourney it's a viable strategy to ensure you'll never have a cent more than you started with.

most tourneys are timed, its to ensure you float right at the buy in and wait til very end to make a move. lots of times people bust out with plenty of time left to go.

I would still like to see the full T&C in writing. Is roulette just not allowed towards the wagering requirement? Assuming you can play roulette at all, and keep the winnings, I would bet everything on one number in single-zero roulette. If you win, then grind out the 100x requirement in video poker. Again, this is based on my understanding of the T&C, which may be wrong.

Hello everyone,

Different bonuses can have different requirements outlined in the terms and conditions. Because we are not sure which bonus exactly this is in reference to, we wouldn’t be able to provide the specific requirements. Having said that, if anyone has any questions about a bonus, we kindly ask that you PM us your Bovada account number or your email address and we’d be happy to have someone review your account, and contact you to discuss the terms in detail.

Best regards,

Bovada Service

To clarify here is the info: Excerpt cut from my email correspondance.

*******
We appreciate your time writing to us. We will do our best to provide you the information that you need on your inquiry. We apologize for any confusion this has caused you and we understand that this is regarding 'CASINO200'.

The Rollover for this code is calculated by multiplying your chip purchase amount to 80. Also, any play with the games listed below will not count towards the Rollover requirements for withdrawal:

• Baccarat
• Bingo
• Craps
• Double Deck Blackjack
• Poker
• Roulette
• Sic Bo
• Single Deck Blackjack

Upon checking your Casino account, you purchased $1300 after redeeming the code. Having said that, you will need to play $104,000 in the Casino for you to be able to cashout your Casino Chips.

I ended up asking them to rescind the bonus. At that point I'd had about 1.5K in winning I had to forfeit, so they just started me back at the amount before I committed to the bonus. After giving back the winnings, I got it all back and then some since then so it all worked out. They'res no way to know for sure but its possible that I could have hit the bonus without forfeiting, I've gone through sessions since then where my wagering has definitely been over 10K per session over the past month, playing multiple sessions per day. Also Im not sure if the bonus details are still posted, but I recall that the match was for max 400$. So based on what I deposited, the whole transaction was a huge mistake considering all the wagering I would have to do only to match less than a third of my deposit. Definitely a mistake that didnt kill me but I surely wont make again.

If only I had read this thread...or...the rules...

I played $100 w/ $100 bonus and a 40x rollover requirement this weekend. I glanced at the rules on the rollovers after I noticed the number never changing for craps or baccarat. I thought for sure it would change for roulette but it didn't...now I am well above my original investment at about $1,000. I look again and also call to verify the requirements because now I could win something (I originally figured I would lose as I had before, so the rollover was not that important...until it was...).

I decided on Tri-Card Poker. Made one $25 Ante and $5 Pairs Plus bet, won, and made sure the meter dropped. It did!! About thirty minutes later I was at $900 (high of $1500, low of $835) and I had successfully completed the rollover requirement. Checked my points (62,000 or about $30,000 in total bets) and requested a payment.

The $900 check came via FedEx today.

My thoughts--

--Read the rules, dummy!! I probably would have decided against the bonus if I knew all the games I like (craps, baccarat, and roulette) were not eligible.

--Their requirement has a point. They are trying to prevent people from playing "even" games where there is no edge for them, which they think includes any bet where you can make the opposite bet (pass/don't pass) and maybe bets with no house edge (odds in craps). I think they would be better off having software evaluate your bets and counting them for any play that is not made using opposite bets or at zero house edge (or measuring the amount of house edge in the bet). Since they already have all the information, I can't see how this would be all that hard for programmers to set this up.

Bovada has a nice promotion going on in the poker room this month. $1 cash for every 5 player points earned. I got in via an email they sent me and I clicked on a couple of links to become eligible, so this promotion might not be open to everyone.

last week I did a bonus on here. I played VP with it and never came anywhere near clearing it. If you put in $50, you have to wager $4000 to clear it. Unless you hit a Royal or AwAk on DDB you are never going to make it through.
