1/6 (1/36+2/36+2/36+1/36) and an average of 150 ((10*30+5*15+5*15+5*30)/4). Note this is average pay, disregarding frequency.

You're aware that 'horn high 12' is equivalent to 5 on 2/3/11 and 10 on 12, right? (And further, identical to hopping them manually.)

1 in 6

rolls on average,

in other words
as often as the 7
as often as the Horn
as often as a 4 or a 10

What does a $25 Horn High 12 pay?

well, depends on what rolls and how the casino pays it.
there is $5 on the 2,3 and 11
$10 on the 12.

it is really one bet split between 4 different bets.
I have seen this bet made only in units of 5 also

a super HIGH house edge too!

Horn bet:
A way of making four bad bets simultaneously.

when exactly is it a bad bet?
when it does NOT win
or
when it actually wins?

I saw that bet win 6 times in a row
for one lucky player.

craps is all about
luck
unless one thinks the shooter has something to do with the dice outcome...
like a blind Gorilla tossing the bones for a banana or two

that Gorilla (call him Stud Boy)
has long rolls and short ones too

12 pays $285, still up to win. Make sure you are not on a short pay table such as Caesars paying 30 for 1. Aces pay $130. Ace Deuce and yo pay $55

A horn hi ace deuce is the only logical bet to make on the comeout, if one wishes to hedge. The don't player might wish to go horn hi yo. Lesser amounts of money to hedge is always better, an 11/12 for the DP, any craps for PL. But in the long run they all suck profit.

I wish someone would explain to me the logic behind "High, Low, Yo" . What does it do beside sound good coming out of your mouth? Probably something to do with the spirit of stupid!

The hi-low yo is a great bet if you just add three pips to the '2' with a sharpie.

Otherwise awful bets if you play them every roll. Fine for giggles. Odds are still much better than a scratch-n-win. About the same as a terrible slot. Or a completely ineffective Video Poker player.

In otherwords if given $5 and be told, play the horn high (whatever) or take this $5 Crossword/Bingo scratch ticket, I'd take the horn-high every time.

Horn Bet Calculator

The standard bet has four units: one unit on each of the horn numbers.
The "high" bet has five units: two units on a selected number and one unit on the other numbers.

In most casinos, the payouts are 30 to 1 for the tips Two and Twelve.

The standard bet pays 27 units for the tips Two and Twelve.
The standard bet pays 12 units for Yo and Three.
Simply remember "27 or 12" and then multiply.

The "high" bet pays 57 units if the winning number is a tip with two units
The "high" bet pays 27 units if the winning number is Yo or Three with two units
The "high" bet pays 26 units if the winning number is a tip with one unit
The "high" bet pays 11 units if the winning number is Yo or Three with one unit
Simply remember "57 or 27 or 26 or 11" and then multiply.

The question presented has a $25 Horn High Twelve. Simply multiply the $5 unit times 57.

Now I remember why I only do Line Bets and occasional Odds bets. Five times fifty-seven. Sure. IF I am able to successfully hitchhike to Spring Fling and we get a craps game going wherein such a horn bet wins, I'll figure the payout sometime in 2019 maybe.

Horn High Ace-Deuce should be $4 craps an $1 yo. You’ll get an extra $1 when a 12 is rolled (assuming you are playing at a "to 1" place.)

You are right of course. if you are on the pass line, why bet the yo at all? Problem solved: $35 pass line with $5 craps check. Or just bet $1 ace deuce per $15 pass line bet. ya takes yer chances and only cover 50% of craps chances. Since I use the Hard ways set, my craps results are more than 50% for the ace deuce.

I like this idea of the 3-WAY bet.
I see these numbers rolled just as much as I see the 6,8 and the payout amounts are crazy 15 to 1, 30 to 1.
I think this is a much better bet than the DC bet.

there are four bets to make in craps.............pass and come............don't pass and dc..............take/lay as many odds as your bankroll allows and ignore every other bet. But you won't so at least have fun.

Ok, my mind is spinning.

Can I bet all 4? at the same time.

I know I can bet the Doey/Don't for 10 each (a buck on midnight) with my choice to put or lay odds in behind.
But, can I do the same thing with COME/DON'T COME while having place bets on all the numbers?

Secondly, I don't mean to sound personal but your name says dealer. Are you a craps dealer?

Wow! 43 years.

Sorry for all the questions.

So if I chose to play Doey/Don't I can do this all together while having place bets along with COME/DON'T COME
My bet would look like a like 3 bets on every number if this was so.

I reed an article about DOWN with DOUBLE ODDS in other forums. Sounds like a good bet to me. But I can only see the DC bets only good at come out roll and also an insurance for the COME bets.
I normally surround myself with Lay bets but I think it's interesting to view other options. You being a craps dealer would be the ultimate teacher for knowing what's a best bet.

craps is a simple game, you will bet the shooter will or will not make his point......you can then take advantage of the best bet in the casino, taking or laying odds on the point......ALL OTHER BETS are part of casino craps and are bad for you.

MAX Bet.

If I got to the point where all my numbers were at max bet, the only other option would be to add COME/DON'T COME for max bet followed by the max odds on the COMES to number.

Yes, but the hedge isn't free. If you are betting $15 pass, $15 don't pass, 35 times out of 36 it is a wash and you break even. 1 time out of 36 you lose $15.

True, I was just putting together some stuff pertaining to max bet when you numbers are loaded, you can still load up the pass line with max odds to max bet along with come bets with max odds. Either that or just add another person to make the similar bets.

It's all just hearsay, I'm just thinking out loud.
