Will a casino let you bet pass and don't pass on the same roll? What about come and don't come on the same roll?

Yes. The casino will happily take these bets...just like they are happy to book bets on both red & black...or player & banker.

And when there is a 12, it (should be) followed up by a sigh of relief or at least a grin, from the dealers. Nothing worse than some grinder playing both sides for who knows why.

Yes, those bets provide the casino with an even greater advantage. Check elsewhere on this forum if you want the maths.

The thing to take away from this is, always assume bet combinations in a casino give you no advantage. They easily can seem to make sense, just trust that they don't. Each bet has an expected value [EV]. This is cumulative, the EV of each bet of the combination never cancelling out the other.

The only assumption I make is that the bets have negative expectation.

No win + lose on 12 (1/36) = 2.7% HE... as opposed to the DP 1.36% and Pass of 1.41%. =)
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

You only lose half your overall wager on a 12, so it is 1/72 = 1.39% HE

I know why and how and I'd be happy to explain how this/my type of grinding works. I of course have an unpublished system. Yes I agree its 1.39 on the come-out by risking only 1 chip by betting two chips. I studied Scarne and Scoblete prior to the discovery of the working math system which I am speaking of. Im am here trolling to see if there are any systems similar to mine or partially the same and so far no dice :)

Chances are you have come to the wrong place. We don't encourage or support systems here, and you will be banned should you try to promote or sell one. So far, you've stopped short of that, but consider this a warning not to do it, either in the threads, the blogs, or by private message.

Thanks admin, I am enjoying the site. I don't want to talk about my system, and yes thank you for the heads up to not do so :) I am however as stated looking for others system descriptions so as to compare against mine and probably gain some further insight when I do find a match... or even worse, a dissertation on why my system is dumb. The system section here did nothing for me. My google search tells me that everyone thinks their system is "money" so no real descriptions are out there. I guess Ill just have to stay alone with the maths on this one.

in another thread you mentioned something I responded to:

Quote:

My experience in the Midwest casinos is the "wave" of probability (peak to trough) changes every 1.5 to 2 hours

I'll expand on it. If you've ever used wincraps, you'll see that the winning/losing trend in bankroll tends to form a sine wave. I'm thinking you have seen this, since you mention peak, trough, and wave. I have noticed that looking at this develop, you get the feeling you can predict the period of the wave. You see many similar waves repeated, and as the wave is changing, you get the feeling if the data was something you were betting on, you'd be able to realize you need to start or quit betting.

Are you referring to this? If so, I can tell you I have concluded it is just an illusion, that the sine wave is showing the past and does not, unfortunately, indicate the future. I certainly would say it gives the eerie feeling it does. Or are you referring to something else?

Never heard of wincraps, sounds really old... I laugh at simulators :) I observed this and discovered this on my own in real-life... (software is useless and cannot ever be random). This wave id is far from the absolute science you seem to hope I'll admit to but its definitely real, definitely observable and definitely calculable enough to gain an edge. Winning to me is a collection of practices and sciences, not ever "that one thing". This practice is used for much less than your desire, its only used to achieve a proper go home time, or reality check time before beginning another at risk session. Did you know my system (which I shant describe) beats this crap out of any simulator? The captains 5-count system fails the simulator. I think its because there is no rhythm, and no wave, (perhaps only particle). Simulators are easily beaten with simple martingale techniques let alone a science of understanding the nature of gaming defeat, in a game that cannot be won from the positive side. Because you, will, always, lose. That's another reason that I chose this game. I can guarantee you're going to lose. That's (one of) the only things a simulator does correctly, eventually lose.
