Going to vegas again and i will be playing the don'ts.
i would like the take the "correct odds" on my don't come bets...
can someone go over these numbers with me please?

lets say i bet $10 on the don't pass....
and follow up the 3 don't come bets...
assuming 3-4-5...

what are the proper laying odds amounts i need to toss out to the dealer
on each number?

thanks!

4 & 10 = Lay $2 to win $1
5 & 9 = Lay $3 to win $2
6 & 8 = Lay $6 to win $5

seannnnny,

Screw all that Just lay the point.

Don't play don't pass, just wait for a point to be established and lay it for as much as you want then play an equal amount on the don't come. Then take your lay down and you got a hell of a bet.

vig= maybe 5 bucks but it stops the rat 7 from getting you.

See seannnny it doesn't matter what you do.They are gonna get ya either way.It is up to you man.But I would rather take my chances against the 11 and not the 7.

Your money, but it takes big stones to be covering up to 4 numbers on the don't. One hot (lucky, whatever) shooter wipes you out to a big loss. That is what chases many off the dark side. Have to admit however that the wins are awesome when they come (or don't come!) at the right time.

I play the don't come(so not to make the right bettors think that I am betting 'against' them). Come out roll..point established..don't come.. i get my don't come number established(or lose on 7/11-my come out roll)...sit and wait for resolution.

Yes, you get the vig back. If you're located in Vegas and tend to make a lot of lay bets, then you should try the locals casinos. Some of them only charge vig on the win, which is way cool.

My strategy as well. Best way to be a darksider, but stay under the radar. Most players have no idea what the DC is. And nicely, you even find yourself rooting for the shooter at times.
