If I noticed an inordinately high number of craps being rolled (2, 3, 12), if I took $100 and just bet $1 any-craps each roll for 100 rolls; if indeed there WERE more than 1-7, I would make money right?
So, if there were 13 crap rolls out of 100 rolls total, I'd make a small profit, right? (4% profit, so it seems)
Couldn't I extrapolate that out to $1000 ($10 bets) so it'd be $40 profit, which at a good clip would take a little over two hours.
(I know, its a losing proposition, but I'm just saying what I've seen)

Of course, others will say, "why not go in with $10k and bet $100 bets and make $400 in the same timespan?"
Personally, if you bought in for $10k, and made $100 crap bets, the heat would be so hot it'd burn even Nero himself!

the heat?

if you won a lot of money, there would be some kind of fuss [surveillance], I suppose, but only a casino full of crazy people wouldn't really want you to stay and bet the same for another 100 bets.

Yes; every time I've ever seen anyone betting black on the horn or C/E, its a large production (boxman, floor supervisor, CSM hovering over the table) and like I said, it "rains" crap numbers, so these people hit it big.
Just recently, over a weekend I watched a guy come up with $500 and bet just a $50 high-low for 10 rolls, and hit it three times in 10 rolls. He repeated this same thing three days in a row (and never lost, as told to me by the dealers)

I agree. Anyone thinking about betting $100 on craps would be eagerly encouraged to do so.

Heat? On a dice table?

Not at all.

They might give the dice a look, but unless you're past-posting or bet capping or some other stupid thing, you'll be welcomed with open arms.

I need to get to a better casino.
Then again, we are discussing an 11% he bet, so why sweat it?
If I knew, I wouldn't be debating betting it, Hana.

Of course, unless the dice start rolling and the table is dumping, then the boxman and dealers are doing everything they can for that 7-out (I actually heard the boxman tell the floor supervisor that he was sure glad that 7 came when it did)
Sounds like someone needs some deodorant, so they can be sure and raise their hand.

You are right Clark it was a stupid question. But you never know.

I play a lot of Crapless Craps.
I can't tell you how many times I have made a Point of 2,3,11,12, but I have made more than I miss.

The 2 and 12 pay 6-1 minus 5% juice.The 3 and 11 pay 3-1 minus 5% juice.

I remember one roll I had that lasted 40 minutes on a $10 Minimum Table.
I looked at the chips in play and there must have been 11 numbers covered with 3-4K in action.
Not to mention all the come bets with odds and all the horn and craps bettors.

I still believe it spooked me looking at all that money laying out there and Bam ,The Rat came.Wiped them all away.

They clapped and cheered after that roll though.
We had every race and nation represented at that table.
People were throwing chips over people to get their bets in.
It was the most exciting experience I have had as I was down to my last $500 and put 4 units on every number.
After that roll I went from a -$2500 to a +$2700.

One old guy threw me 2 black chips(he said later he made 30k ,on my roll he had the 12 at $2000 after 2 rolls and then I threw 2 more),another 2 green(he later said he was down $5k and now up $2k,and another 2 green( he just got there and won $4500).

So now I am +3k.
But I never leave the dealers out when I throw.
I had put them one unit on every number and piggy backed it on my bets before I started the roll.Every time it hit they would break the bet down pay it and put it back up.
Oh and by the way I Never Pressed My Bets!
I know ,what a shame ,right but I was in a rythem.
And no one wanted me to get out of it.
The players made their bets to accomodate my timing.

This was also the first time I have ever seen anyone "Sweat The Money".
Pit and Floor.
I think 6 suits wound up being there and they checked the dice 3 times during the roll.

At one point 1 die left the table and about 18 people yelled same dice all at once. I wasn't one of them.
I said yall want what? They yelled it again. I said ok I guess.

Thanks for letting me remember that roll.
The game of craps is like a drug, but Crapless Craps must be Cocaine.
