Pet Peeve: "Crapping Out"

I know this is a very minor point, but does anyone else get annoyed when people constantly refer to a seven out as 'crapping out'? I even hear some dealers saying it too!
Another (unrelated) pet peeve of mine is when players call anyone wearing a suit--such as the boxman--a 'pit boss'.

Anytime I or one of my friends was wearing a suit in past years , we were always called " the defendant " .

Yes, we do.

Yeah, he is usually the Floor Man or Floor Person but if he is wearing a suit these players who've been in a casino a full week now have learned to say Pit Boss.

I'm pretty sure that many on this forum are a little out of touch with the points that I am going to make here. But I do want to make a couple of points.
SOCIAL
=====
Craps is a social game. That means when you play craps, you are put in a position where you have to socialize. Even if only with the dealers. Part of socializing requires skills beyond knowledge of math and the internet.
ENTERTAINMENT
===========
Craps primary purpose is not an income generation mechanism for anyone but the employees and the house, regardless of anyone's opinion. Craps is a game. And it is a game intended to provide entertainment. If you begin to think that the point is to win money, and/or that if you don't win money, something is wrong, here in Vegas there are some brochures that say "when the fun stops" on them that try to remind you that gaming is about being entertained, and that the more you play, the more likely it is that you are going to lose.
When new players come up and don't know how to play the game, or refer to "crapping out" because they don't know any better, that is a cue. It is a cue to socialize. If your social skills are well-honed, you may be able leverage this queue in order to have more entertainment. If your skills are more honed towards math and posting to online forums, you may be well-advised to stay at home repetitively pressing the center of your glasses back up on your nose in between keystrokes.

"Crapped out" and "I'm on a roll" are both terms derived from the game of craps that are part of standard US slang.
You're computer's hard drive can crap out on you. But it will never seven out on you.
Technically, "crapped out" and "seven out" are synonymous to the best of my knowledge.
But people who use the term "crapped out" are generally known to not be experienced players.
Just like people who say things that bother superstitious players like talking about the seven after the point is established.
"Crapped out" may even be a term such as "rolling the red" that is derived to satisfy the superstitious needs of referring to an event without mentioning the word "seven."
But no matter, the most superstitious of players don't even like to think about the concept no matter what the actual terms are using to describe it.
Even if you say something like "there's one number we don't talk about" it will bother a pretty good number of people that have bets against the seven.

Throwing craps on a come out is technically crapping out,
But since you lose the pass line on that and on the seven out
you can see how they have become synonymous to some people.
It doesn't really bother me,
Now seeing someone bet on big red when I'm rolling...pisses me Off...

I ALWAYS play the don't. ALWAYS. I loudly cheer for a 7. Is that wrong?
Other players dont seem to mind creating a ruckus when a point is hit. Especially a 4 or a 10 where I have lost the MOST money. Why should I not say the word "seven" or loudly cheer for one?

It annoys me when I'm playing the don'ts, roll a 7 on the comeout, and dealer says "seven seven, winner seven." Especially if it happens three times in a row. Especially when I'm playing alone at the table. Dealer...are you even paying attention? No tip for you!

Yea...I was playing alone at the Casino Royale at like 9am one morning and the dealer said "You're gonna bet the Don'ts playing alone"? I said, "Yep"! I bought in for $50 and ended up leaving with over $250. I gave the dealer 4 reds on my way out simply for the fact that he didn't do what you just complained about zippyboy and did the opposite. He was actually cheering for a 7 with me, calling craps "winners" and sevens on the come out "losers". It made playing alone enjoyable, and for that I tipped him 10% of my winnings.

The best way this can be avoided is by taking the time to make the full announcement, "Seven, No Field Seven, Pay the Line, Take the Dont's!"
If calling Craps paid more, there is no question that I would do that for a profession, they may have just been trying to flatter me into some tokes, but I call my own dice when I am alone at the Table and have been told that I am very good.

I remember seeing Bill Cosby in LV. His act was talking about gambling.
When it came to craps, he told all the craps players to get a pair of dice.
Bring them up to your room.

Saying "Seven" at a craps game?
Heck... wait until there is some neophyte broad there who doesn't know what she is doing but she is jumping up and down rooting for "Seven". What do you expect? Some guy to say "Don't bounce your boobs and don't say "Seven"!"

Two reasons that I don't bother with Craps (or casinos in general, for that matter) anymore, and that I favor virtual dealers and "pop-up" Craps.

What's really annoying is someone saying "Seven out!" on a 2, 3, or 12.
Or someone yelling "Theatre!" in the middle of a fire, or people trying to stop a flood using flame throwers!
Or how about driving on a parkway versus parking on a driveway, or privates eating in the General Mess while all the generals eat in the Private Mess?
Complicity is complicated but never complex... er, vice versa.
