It's usually about a minimum of $50 extra.

And yes they do suck!

Are you talking about the socket in the pool that sucks up water? I heard many horror stories about being stuck in there for hours....

But to the OPs real question. I do not know table minimums but from my personal experience, I tend to find that poolside rules generally are unfavorable rules much like many of the party pits are.

I wish they at least had decent rules. That would be really fun to play, especially if you could get someone to call you in. Just wong in with $5k in purple chips -- they'd be like DAFUQ?!

In my experience (seeing not playing) rules are awful, and I believe minimums are $10-$15.

If this is vegas it's illegal to charge admission to go into a gaming area.

Right. If you're going to play poolside BJ, don't pay to get in on top of that.

If you're not staying at the hotel and they have gaming in the pool area you can get in for free. Usually they put a wristband on your arm if you're just supposed to be gaming and not pooling but you can just rip it off when no one's looking.

lol, they have it backwards.

For that system to be effective they have to wristband people who have "full access" and not give one to the people who don't.

Otherwise you can just go to the john and take it off.

Yep, it's definitely backwards, but also few people know the rule that admission to gaming areas cannot be restricted, so I don't think it gets abused that much. I could be wrong on that though.

can someone explain the logistics of swim up bj?

Do you buy chips before you get in the water?
Do people just swim around and randomly decide to play BJ? If so, are they storing their chips in their swimming trunks?
Are the table felts water proof?
If I look like I'm under 21, should I be swimming around with my driver's license as well?

You can buy in with wet bills at the table.

And yeah, I'm sure you can get IDed at the table just like any other table.

I know at Mandalay Bay when I was gaming at their "beach casino" they were very aware of who was there as a casino only patron. Trying to sneak out and use the pool would NOT have worked.

Wasn't the playboy club at the Palms exempt from this law for some reason? That's gone now. Are there any remaining gaming areas in Vegas that aren't freely open to the public?

I've been there, the gaming area is inside (mostly 6/5 shoe games). I don't see how they would keep tabs on all the "casino only" patrons as the beach area is huge.

Either way, if you really want to sneak in to use the "beach," it's worth a shot. Worst case scenario is they make you leave.

A new license was created and I believe the Playboy club was the only place ever to get one.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.
