Adelaide casino has gone to the dogs, you now have to pay for a cup of coffee while say betting $50 or $100 minimum per hand in the new Baccarat pit. Apparently the catering manager had his budget cut, so now you can wager thousands, but still have to pay $2.50 for a coffee, the water (from a tap), is still free.
In the Grange room, they will freely get any patron pissed, but you have to pay to eat (they will deduct points if you have them), you also have to sign agreement that you are prepared / willing to lose money while gambling. It must rank as one of the tight-fisted casino's down-under.
LOL. Egalite, now why would a big baccarat winning player like yourself be complaining about a measly $2.50?????? Your recent posts is such a piker response. For someone who is traveling the world to play baccarat you sure do pick the crappiest places to play.
It opened in 1985, it must rank as the stingiest in Oz compared to interstate competition. Sure you can get free tea coffee in the Grange room which is too formal, you have to watch your P's and Q's, sitting amongst those that really don't care if they win or lose, also too many pit bosses watching you like a hawk.
Their policy in regards to drinks may have changed since. The player card I have entitles me to free drinks 24-7.
That includes a wide variety of drinks. It excludes alcohol.
You don't have to be a whale to get the card either and it's one of those cards which doesn't expire. :)
"...in the Grange room which is too formal"
I wouldn't know but the staff told me that some of the people in the VIP area look like they live on the streets. I don't think they have any dress codes.
" ...also too many pit bosses watching you like a hawk"
Yeah, I know. The security at the Adelaide casino are just straight-up thugs. And they've got these thugs everywhere. You can't even blow your nose without raising suspicion.
