$1 min table I found with one caveat - 25c ante lmao. Plops plugging away at this monstrosity with $5 or less bets.

If it has ante then it's not a good game.

No. Its not. But check the rules. Sometimes its a one dollar minimum bet that is permitted but will require an ante of 25 cents, but if you bet five or more dollars the ante is waived. That would be okay as long as you are betting more than five dollars and don't get charged the ante. This stuff seems to be common in Oklahoma where there are darn few bargains for gamblers particularly low level gamblers. My advice if you in Oklahoma is to save up your gambling money and go to Vegas for a decent bet.

Figure out how many hands per hour you are playing and divide by four. That is the dollar amount that you are paying just to sit there. If you are playing 60 hands an hour the cost is $15 an hour. This is totally unacceptable and you cannot recoup that. The other problem is that many of these tables have a $10 max.

Do they waive the ante if you bet $5? If so, and you must play this table, never bet below $5. At $5 a hand and a house edge of say 0.7%, your expected loss at 60 hands per hour is $2.10 an hour. At $1 a hand the loss is 42 cents an hour PLUS $15 in ante fees for a total of $15.42 an hour. This assumes perfect basic strategy. In any case, you would do much better at even a $10 table.

Is Atlantic City pulling this again? I may be there at the end of this coming week and I will check things out.

Not atlantic city. Yes I did the math. If you re playing $5 perfect bs you re losing roughly 2.5cents a hand. The ante increases your -EV by 10x if you bet $5 (-27.5c a hand)!!!!! It just gets worse the lower you bet. This bet is a disaster. Actually they do charge you the .25 if you bet more than $5. Oddly this place has some great blackjack w great conditions minus this disaster of a game.

Makes 6:5 blackjack look like a profitable enterprise.

See , the casinos do have the player's best interests at heart.
That's why so many tables are now 6:5. And yet some players
whine NO FAIR. Just no pleasing some people !

MGM Detroit allows this in the party pit. Any bet under table minimum requires a 25 cent ante AND blackjack pays EVEN MONEY!

Oh god. I'm squeezing my butt cheeks tight just thinking about the rape that goes on at that table.

What's your point? Having someone piss on your leg doesn't seem so bad compared to having someone take a dump on you?

I felt these forums were severely lacking in toilet humor and decided to be a hero and remedy that! No need to thank me wizard of vegas forum!

I hate toilet humor. Please refrain. I don't mind insults so much, at least not from smart people who can take what they can dish out.

Ok. Deciding between ante jack and 6:5 blackjack: akin on deciding on whether to let a guy kick you in the private area as hard as possible or punch you in the kidney. Better analogy and less toilety?

You will lose less betting $10 a hand at 6:5 than you would betting $1 a hand with the ante. There should be no need to play either one.

You will lose less betting over $60 a hand on a s17 double deck game with rsa and das (which still exist in some places). This game is a human tragedy. I heard keno is an absolute train wreck too but never got nto the math for that game. Are such dog crap games prevalent in areas where there's some semblance of competition among the casinos? I found this game at a tribal casino.

Sorry to beat this old thread to death, but there's more. They had screens all throughout the casino advertising the $1 bj - everywhere. Can you guess what was missing from the big, pretty $1 bj signs? Need I even say it?
