OK - I have just arrived - such a gorgeous drive on the east coast today - sunshine, 75F, windows down, U2 concert blasting on the radio - here we go ladies and gentleman - TRIP HAS BEGUN!!!

I'm not sure what it says about either of us, but Foxworthy and I spent the bulk of our college years at the same school (though at much different times.) He left early and eventually found a more enjoyable way to make a living without a degree. About four years after he left school -- even before he started doing comedy professionally -- I was teaching in the same program he dropped out of. He left at an opportune time.

Blackjack - Small session 1:
2 shoes
First had was nice, 8.3 v. dealer 5 double down - win
second hand 9,9 v. dealer 4 - split, get another 9
---9, 10 = 19
---9, 2 double down for a 4 = 15
---9, 4 = 13
-------dealer 4, flips over K deals a 6 YUCK!!!
shoe was up and down the rest of the way - last hand of the second shoe I was down $100 and got a blackjack
BJ +50
Trip total = +220

Session 3 (played one shoe):
Started off getting 18's and 19's almost every hand and losing (ahhh lady Variance you fickle wench!!!) minus 1k
Count got better and I eventually got 5 blackjacks the second half of the shoe then hit a double down to end the shoe +200

WONGBO: I have maybe played a total of three shoes since arriving - been playing 1/2 shoe at a time (and although the count was good, I got up from the tables each time I hit the +500 mark
So, I am at =3150 for the trip
