I can only imagine the ruckus at the table when the dealer flipped his/her hand. I wonder if the guy just froze, trying not to give them any reason to invalidate the win.

I also wonder if he had the mini royal in the 3 cards dealt to him. Pays 100-1 on the Pairs Plus bet. Still nothing compared to the million he won on the other bet.

Last time I was in town, they still had the million at the Rio and one other property (can’t remeber which). I think it is still sprinkled around on some of the CET tables.

I played 3CP at Bill’s around that time. I sat down and everyone ribbed me about not playing the pair plus, since, you know, that’s where the money is. First hand, I get 3 of the royal diamonds. At that point, I’m just hoping the dealer doesn’t have the rest. They didn’t, but the chances were relatively good.

Maybe it was just for a publicity photo. Like in those big poker tournaments where the winner is sitting behind a stack of millions of dollars in cash. I'm sure they don't just dump all that money in a big duffel bag and say, "Well, here ya go."
