Never read by candlelight, bad for
your eyes. I have a couple thousand
candles and it's fun. I would never
do it if I had to actually buy the
candles. Way too expensive.

Fun? I have some candles. Tuscany Casino gave them to me a couple years ago. I push the little switch and they flicker....at least until the batteries go dead. :/

In 1995 a local greeting card store
went out of business and had an
auction. I bought the entire inventory
of candles for a couple cents a
candle. They've been in my barn
for 25 years. More than I'll ever
use. Handy to have, though.

EB has been claiming to win consistently for a few decades

Nope, not even close.

You have been posting on wizardofvegas for over a decade, talking about winning at table games. The original post was a story from 2008. How long has your consistent winning been going on for?

Quote: EvenBob

Quote:

yet cannot move past $5 bets

Inaccurate reporting, just what you accuse me of.

This entire thread started with an anecdote about you reporting an ability to sit at a baccarat table and bet $5 and easily beating the game and leaving after winning $150. You could have just as easily been betting $500 or $5,000 and left after winning $15,000 or $150,000. If that report is inaccurate, feel free to provide the correct information

Quote: EvenBob

Quote: TomG

it means the table was closed because you were betting too small, not because you were winning.

You obviously have no idea how sweaty some Indian casinos are. Every nickel every dime, they sweat it. Especially this casino. For 10 years they were the 800 pound gorilla, tribe members were getting $8000 a month. Then all these other casinos starting popping up and their checks went down down down. Last I heard they were under $1K a month. They consider any winning player a threat to their bottom line. It's why they got rid of bac entirely, they can't afford a lucky player or a skilled one to come along and leave with a 5 figure win.

There are an endless number of casinos that are the exact opposite of what you describe. These places do not care about your results in either baccarat or roulette, they only care about your total action. They will gladly accept your winning for a very long time, and treat you very well while it is happening. Depending on the way in which you are winning, they may accept it for the rest of your life. It is so fascinating that you do everything possible to avoid those casinos and make it a point to only go to the ones that treat you badly.

A decade is 1 decade. A couple decades
is 2. You said 'a few' decades which
implies 3 or more. I have not been
playing roulette for 30 years.

I stated several times I was making $5
bets because I was done playing for
real for the evening and was drinking
vodka and making minimum bets. You
said I was 'unable to move past $5 bets'
which is ludicrous.

the casino I was in, not some

awesome play had been the final
straw, obviously. lol

EvenBob, what are your answers to the questions?

How long have you been beating these table games in these ways?

What level of play have you been able to move up to? A very quick google search says some places in Las Vegas have $50,000 limits, you always have the option to go there and earn $1.5 million. Why wouldn't you just go there and earn $1.5 million. It should happen very quickly based on your claims that beating baccarat "isn't that hard" and that roulette is even easier.

Why do you choose to go to casinos that treat you horribly based on your style of play, when there are so many that will treat you with the best customer service possible?

I have never gotten a comp,
I have never had a card. I
have talked about this many
times. Why would I want to
be in anybody's system.

I take that back. Before
computers I did get comps,
back in the 80's. I played
BJ and the pit would rate
your play and you asked
them for a buffet or a pack
of cigs. That was back when
Vegas was a fun place.

Here is what I glean (trying to take EB at his word)

He doesn't have a player card and most likely wouldn't rate for comps as a $5 bettor anyway unless he went for hours at a time and then only $5 in freeplay and maybe a free candle.

He asked a pit a few years ago to open a table which they obliged most likely because they were planning too anyway.

Regardless they saw him wagering $5 and after a couple hours no one sat down to play and they decided the table wasn't gaining enough action.

EB might be correct they would have kept it open had he been wagering $100 a spin but not because he was or wasn't beating roulette but because the table might have been profitable.

A lot of people fall into the trap of thinking the world revolves around themselves. So when a patron stops going to a candy store and then a few months later, they are out of business, the patron proclaims "see, they closed cause of me" even though the real reason could be anything

I already have a profitable
situation, comps are meaningless
to me. They're a trap so losing
players can feel like they profited
something. All that aside, I never
play long enough to get rated
anyway. I never play longer
than 30 min. Casinos hate guys

I play bac for long periods, but

If table games are easy to beat, then getting rich is not a lot of work. It is easy. Once again, the contradictions in your words come across as if you have no sense of honesty. Again, instead of betting $5, you could have gone to one of the many casinos that would have loved to see you bet $50,000 per spin and they would have let you walk away with $1.5 million in the same amount of time it took you to earn $150. And the comps would be a lot more than the silly buffet and hotel stay you are talking about. Could probably negotiate for about five to 10 $5,000 free bets for every hour you play at that level.

Some people can gamble without an edge and happily accept the fact that they're trading an expected loss for entertainment.

Others need to spin elaborate or not so elaborate fantasies to convince themselves they don't have an expected loss.

I don't suspect many of these people are gambling in a responsible manner, but who knows. It's what it is.

Or you just don't understand it,
which is often the case.

I'll Go with JJ's take on the obvious since she's worth over 400 million and has multiple achievements. I think she's even been around a little longer than you.

.........................

poor poor EB
the other alpha gambling superstar has some groupies that defend him

EB doesn't have any groupies

*

I can never get to groupie for anyone but I like EB seems like a good fella to me.
He is interesting has knowledge on many subjects and I like his bar owner stories.

IF you haven't figured out that he is mentally tough you should it will save you
all the fruitless goading.

You would have to be super duper mentally tough in order to deprive yourself and others(animal charities and family) of the millions of dollars he could generate using his method/system.

all the fruitless goading.

just to be clear..................I don't dislike EB
some of his threads and posts are quite good and I enjoyed the back and forth with him
especially on the "Remember When" thread and the "What are you Reading" thread

he is obviously an intelligent guy

but his beating roulette thing - which I didn't even know about until it came up in this thread - was just too much for me to take
I couldn't be silent

he is a much, much, much more interesting and likeable character than the other alpha gambling superstar whose only interest is to build legendary status around himself and to speak of his own greatness

I know a guy that beat roulette. He put $100 on his birthday and won the first spin he ever played. He cashed in and hasn’t played it since.

But why is my vision of him the following: The highly intelligent gentlemen standing in a rural field, starring at his barn storing ten thousand plus candles thinking what he should elaborate next about online at WoV and stir the pot? Glass of milk in one hand and Oreo cookies doused in hot sauce in the other.

I find EB’s roulette claims are every bit as believable as many of the things he says. Remember, he was one of the first COVID cases in the US despite rarely going anywhere and not getting tested.

The part that I specifically hate is that you changed the story. Went from a "friend" who "said" he did it & you wanted to know if it was possible. Then, later, it was you who had done it & of course it was possible because you did it & aren't you great? Really no need to ask the Wiz. Plenty of us have seen the whole story unfold.
