Now both of us are guilty of giving plenty of advice to newer players but there are differences between us. My playing days are winding down as a part-time AP and I feel it is the appropriate time to give some back. You however may still be playing decades from now and living off of blackjack, so take the low road and keep your mouth shut Mr professional "very subjective indeed".

I don't think it will come as any great surprise, that I too, disagree with the above, BoSox. I am where I am today, 18 years into advantage blackjack play because other professional and knowledgeable players didn't keep their mouth shut. They opened up and shared very valuable lessons along the way. Lessons that you don't learn in the many books.

I vowed to share my journey, as much as possible so that others might benefit. in that same way. To see just what a professional blackjack player really is, not what the movies show, just what kind of money is possible, WHILE STILL BEING WELCOME TO PLAY and the wild rollercoaster ride of variance to get there. I don't think any other player has shared that more than I, and I KNOW players have benefited from it, because I hear from them, both privately and publicly. I mean you show me one other player that has been more honest about some of the down years (like 2020), than I have been.

So just because I may rub you and others the wrong way and some don't like me and my posting (some for reasons having nothing to do with blackjack or gambling), I think I will continue to do it my way for as long as I think it is helpful.

The spa suite she rented for the day, that I spent a couple hours in myself, is the only way to get a private salon, private steam, private treatments, private hot tubs, private everything these days. Why wouldnít a whale just put this highest end spa suite on perm standby for himself? People just arenít into health. As it stands, whether this gets comp'ed off or not I wouldn't have a problem with her renting it every now and then.

Four shoes - more complete details posted at TruePassage but the summary being:
Ended 7700 ahead - but hold on! as I was sitting chatting with the dealer a suit came out of nowhere and declared that I had been "shortchanged" 500 at some point in the past, and had the dealer hand me another 500 chip. So I ended +8200 in my pocket, and had tipped out maybe five hunny or so (via side bets for the dealers, as I do always), along the way.

I had pulled an 8K marker only so that was a clean double - which I consider to be excellent.

The computer showed my average bet at 450, but I negotiated it up to 600 with the pit boss.

It is WORK though, make no mistake about it. Requires great concentration and discipline.

Heading to the spa suite she reserved for herself to have lunch with her. Another victorious day.

I'm curious as to what was your single biggest bet? And how do you in H E double hockey sticks not notice a short change of $500?

This sounds like some classic pot-stirring to me(?)

There is really no debating that I live in LV, unless someone has a flat earther mindset. I think you are up to speed with The Wolf Eat MDawg drama to know he has been supposedly coming to Vegas for a long time on extended stays. Supposedly, is used properly here since he has yet to ever meet up with anyone legit who can verify. So yeah, that's probably never going to happen.

Why not attempt to meet and be WoV friends??

Maybe go out towards the west side around Red Rock some good restaurants out there, imo.

I put that offer on the table long ago, he even said that he was receptive to the idea at one time. I think that ship has sailed for the most part. I doubt he'll admit this, but, I'm fairly certain he knows I'm not a safety concern to him. He may very well be concerned that I'm likely catch on to something that's amiss.

Axel, I'm sure it was nothing personal, it just at that particular time KewlJ had stature and standards to live by. He was using a chauffeur "family" that picked him up and dropped him off every thirty-five minutes at the front door of casinos.

I am not sure exactly when I was shortchanged the 500. It couldn't have been handing me a 100 chip when a 500 was due, because then they would have owed me 400 not a clean 500. I believe it happened at color up at the end. I wasn't really keeping track of my chips so closely as I was up almost all the time, and was just keeping an eye to make sure they kept moving higher. Towards the end of the fourth shoe there was some resistance up and down, and four shoes is what the casino loves to see (four shoes = four hours of rated play at most casinos), so that is when I stopped, when the winning started fading a bit, and I was feeling hungry.

When the dealer colored up I noted three stacks of 2500 plus 1 chip to pay off the 8K marker, and then my chips were colored up to 7700 which is what I assumed I had. However, turns out I had more than a double and this makes sense because I recall glancing at my stacks when they looked, to me, about +9000 and then when it started to go downhill, I won the last hand and the shoe ended anyway, I was ready to leave, with what I calculated visually as 8K plus.

They do watch closely from upstairs. A year or so ago I was paid full at a casino on a commissionless table where Bank won with 6 (should have been paid half), and some time later they appeared and requested the overpayment back from me. As I recall it was only a few hundred dollars. So maybe the Baccarat gods were now repaying me for that past "injustice."

My highest bet yesterday was only 2000. I had lost two bets prior and the next hand looked like a solid Player so I laid it out there. I drew three 7s which was NOT edifying, but dealer drew a third face card to remain at 0 and I won. The crowd roared! that was an exciting win.

At the end, I mentioned that 2000 bet to make my case for raising my average from the 450 the computer showed. I asked for 550, and the pit boss agreed, but when I sat down was told that was going to give me 600. To a great extent tipping the dealers and being a pleasant player who doesn't cause trouble goes a long way towards those types of negotiations. One of the dealers commented more than once about how "young people today are rude" and that's the type of player who is not going to get any leeway. That same dealer mentioned more than once "what a pleasure it was" to have the two of us, the guy who was copying my bets and myself, at the table. The dealers call me "young man" but I'm well mannered and I get loud only when I win, which they don't mind that. It's the players who get loud and obnoxious when they lose and give the dealers grief who are tolerated but never welcomed. I've seen players curse the dealers in other languages that if the pit boss could understand what they were saying would kick the players out, and even throw losing cards at the dealers. Those types of players are never cut any slack

unless they're mobbed up! 😁

Now Baccarat, in general, is a game where many players sit there in stony silence, win or lose, but I'm the type that gets very excited as I'm winning, which is most of the time. Negative attitude gets you nowhere and destroys concentration.
