Unless MGM and CZR wake up, this will only dilute an already shrinking pool of gamblers coming to LV.

My guess is they use the decreases as a reason to tighten margins even more instead. Perhaps this is an opportunity for RW, but I doubt it. You will probably see an OK attempt at stealing their customers by Genting at first, but more promotions if that doesn’t work.

I'm very interested to see how "Asian" they're going to get with it. Fingers crossed for at least one or two Tiles tables.

And it's always good to have some more competition that isn't Caesars or MGM. That will probably shake things up a bit.

Yes. but as a company they have been prone to hype so until I see a yellow ribbon being ceremoniously cut in front of a dozen photographers and attractively clad females, I'm not gong to believe anything.

Tiles? Its becoming quite popular so I would expect it even if the company was not based in the Orient.

I think you should expect the full "Asian", not the "Let's call it Imperial Palace" experience. Their primary target is not cowboys or farmers from the American heartland.

It will be interesting to see just what they do after the spectacular failure of the Lucky Dragon. I can't imagine they are not thinking of that while they make their own plans.

The Lucky Dragon was really small and in a crappy location. Plus they didn't have all that Genting money behind them.

Also, if you listen to the conspiracy theorists, it was just a big Visa scam anyway, or something like that.

I only went there once, and my only complaint was, yeah, really small and crappy location. Aesthetically it looked good, and I had no problem with the gaming.

I wonder what happened to the dragon sculpture that hung over the bar. It was pretty cool.

I have to hand it to the Lucky Dragonm they actually tried to get in players. They had some great mailers and they ran some fair promotions from the get go. In the end, they were just too small and in a bad location. You could hardly tell there was a casino there. It looked more like higher end high-rise condos. I have no idea what kind of players list they had.

I do know they were always filing Asian movies in there. I wonder if enough of that would have put them on the map if they had enough time to hold out.
