Nathan spends probably 30 mins each direction for $5 FP... itís all in the eye of the beholder I guess.

The casino downtown where I live gave me $10 FP last summer. It wasnít worth 20 mins of driving each way and trying to find parking which is a bitch in downtown all for $9 of value. My time is worth more than that.

They're not taking the bus only to use FP and wait to go home. It's just icing on the cake and more economical than driving, no tolls, no gas, no wear and tear. I took buses to Atlantic City, wasn't that bad, besides you cannot smoke until breaks of course. To get an offer, you have to leave from a city on Greyhound's list. Had a problem the first time booking two one ways, because it was cheaper, didn't get free play. Of course both the casino and the bus company claimed it was the other that was responsible for giving the free play.

Its only 90 minutes from nyc to sands. So net $30 is about minimum wage

This brings up a good point. How much time are you willing to devote to pick a $X amount of freeplay?

There is a casino about 90 minutes from me that offers about $200 a week in free play. I generally do not pick it up because it would require a 3.5 hour time commitment and about $15 in gas. When the offers exceed $300 I almost always go.

So about $52/hour? How is that not worth it?

Iíve seen several people here state that a play worth $50/hr is not worth their time.

Maybe Iím just poor, but $50/hr is the equivalent to a $104k salary.

Make it up with volume.
1)Start an adult day care, charging $25 a day.
2) Take your charges on a field trip.
3)collect an additional $30 from the Sands bonus.
Get ten people and you clear $550 a day.
Once up and running, it's a $200,000 a year operation with very little overhead.
Nothing to sneeze at, with lots of room to expand.
The next step is to find a way to monetize the five hours spent on the bus. A portable blood lab, maybe.

That's why we have henchmen, minions and underlings.
I'd try and squeeze two roundtrips a day out of them.
