Can't wait to be in the first wave to stay in this place. Anybody got a spare clothespin?

"The pressing question outside Revel on Wednesday was: If utility workers unplugged the water mains outside the property, how much human waste would rush out .The Atlantic City Sewerage Company plugged Revel’s pipes months ago over a pay dispute. The inflatable plugs, about the size of a basketball, remained in place beneath New Jersey Avenue on Wednesday.

"A squad of utility workers was on standby outside the property Wednesday. Some sort of bill had been paid, they said, waiting for the go-ahead to remove the plugs. “It’s gonna be a gusher,” forecast utility worker John Clark.

"The handful of workers inside Revel have been using Porta Potties or similar movable outhouses. . . So, effectively, “you can’t go to the bathroom,” said Damon Mitchell, 42, also with the utility. “You can’t cook. You can’t clean. You can’t wash.”
“It’s the first time we cut off a casino,” he said. Like Clark, he predicted a torrent. “It’s gonna come flying out 100 miles per hour.” ==acpress

That's amazing. Unlike Vegas I don't think anybody lives in the sewers in AC. (well if they do they are in for a hellish surprise)
Assume the worst, believe no one, and make your move only when you are certain that you are unbeatable or have, at worst, exceptionally good odds in your favor.

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2016/06/17/paperwork-issues-mean-revels-reopening-is-not-in-the-cards-for-now/

"Atlantic City Director of Licenses and Inspections Dale Finch says the city has not received the necessary paperwork to schedule key inspections for a temporary certificate of occupancy. “I’ve been assured by the attorney that [the paperwork] will be here today,” Finch told Eyewitness News on Friday.

However, Revel also faces challenges at the state level. Gaming officials say he needs a new casino license and can’t just use the license held by the operator that he chooses to run the casino.

Straub said on Friday that he doesn’t see any parts of the property opening until that issue is resolved."

...just wow. You would think he would have thrown us a bone and at least tell us the name but no. Just more broken promises. Now I am starting to wonder what will open first, this or Xanadu.

At least Xanadu has a new name: American Dream.

One wonders if either one of these pipe dreams will ever open.

This joke they call the revel just amazes me more and more each day.... The guy is a billionaire but he reminds me of someone trying to watch tiles and learn
How does he not have people advising him of the thugs that are needed- this comes across as a guy that saw a steal and grabbed it but no idea how to capitalize on it

No kidding, I know they were supposed to open the 15th but that didn't happen. I figured something simple like releasing the name would have been done on time, guess not

As a side note - I spoke to the reporter for the Ac press just to ask a question and he has spoken to the owner who still insists they are opening at End of July... Says it's all clean like the day they closed it inside But basically who knows- the owner is still there everyday so he says
