Hi everyone,

I was looking around the site trying to find some info to compare my two favorite games, Blackjack and Craps. I have spent some time trying find the average units bet per hand in Blackjack to the avg units wagered per roll in Craps. I would like to assume full double odds on the Craps table making odds bet only and the pass line bet is considered one unit. If someone could get me pointed in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Shawn

That's all that I could think about, hope it can help. Look at the last question.
Its - Possessive; It's - "It is" / "It has"; There - Location; Their - Possessive; They're - "They are"

I think for blackjack that the average bet is between 1.11 and 1.12 units when splits and doubles are taken into consideration (closer to 1.12 when doubling after splitting is allowed, and closer to 1.11 when it is not). Don't quote me on that though. The Wizard would know for sure.

not sure if this is correct or if this is what youre looking for but heres my take on it.

for craps. assuming passline wager is one unit and odds wager is 2 units.

1/3 of the time you have 1 unit being wagered

2/3 of the time you have 3 units being wagered which is resolved ~(10/36) rolls

so 1(1/3) + 3(2/3)(10/36)

(1/3) + (5/9) = 8/9 of a unit you have wagered per roll assuming you are waiting to your passline bet or passline plus odds bet resolves.

Thanks for the help! so 8/9*0.00606 = .53% avg loss per unit per roll. Assuming 120 rolls per hour you should expect to lose .64 units per hour played at double odds correct?
