Do you believe the Bob Dylan thing was not staged?

I think they made the decision to become more "popular" and appeal to the masses; their content originally was pretty esoteric and yes, often boring (less to me than some others, because I'm a history buff). Unfortunately, any history from more than about 80 years ago will have only stiil photos available as archival material, and this doesn't make for good theater. At least, you need an excellent narrator and a compelling script. That's what Ken Burns did in his successful series.

With 'American Pickers' they have really scraped the bottom of the barrel. Two guys who are regarded as crooks and conmen in their community now have their own TV show. God bless America.

I finally got to see the episode.

I think it was real because of the fact that Bob didn't seem to know who Chumlee was. Plus he didn't really say much. He barely recognized his own album.
For these reasons and others, I question if that was really Bob Dylan!
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood?
