Ok guys and gals! I live in the great state of Kansas and it takes a bit of travel time to get to a casino for me. So I was thinking about buying some software that will let me practice my Blackjack game at home.
I have been looking around the net for some and have found many but I thought I would ask you all what you have (if any).
Any recommendations would be great!
Thanks

I'd strongly recommend Casino Verite Blackjack.

It can be found at qfit.com

At the computer, I use the version at the WOO site. On the go, I use Genina's Real Blackjack.

hitorstand.net is what I use to practice. It is only good for basic stratege any you cannot modify decks/rules/etc. But for practice it is great.

i like hitorstand.net for practicing the hands that need practicing.
it will usually deal out hands that require knowledge of basic strategy and is therefore more useful as a practice tool.
if you want to just play, the game on the wizardofodds is nice beacause you can adjust the rules.
the wizard's game reshuffles after every hand so it is not a game to practice counting.
both sites have an advice feature to correct play.

I like hitorstand except when it's wrong. "if you have a soft 18, hit unless the dealers shows a 2, 7, or 8. Double if 3 to 6." Noooo, hitting a 3+ card soft 18 is a composition dependent decision. It makes the same error with 3+ card 16s against a 7-10.

I second that. Go to their website to see all the experts who recommend it. Perhaps the Wizard could interview Norm in the future although Norm's new site keeps him busy. It's called Blackjack:The Forum.

Casino Verite Blackjack is excellent and worth the money that you spend on it. Of course, it depends on what your goals are. If you want to try to learn to count cards, go with a professional software like Casino Verite. If not, go with something free, like the WOO's blackjack sim.

Thank you all for the information. I had found Casino Vertie BJ with a web search and it (even though a bit pricy) looked like the one that was for me. I have intend to move forward to card counting. I have used WOO practice game on line and since it does shuffle after each hand I think I need to get something that follows closer to the rules that my closest casino (2 or 6 decks, hit soft 17, 3 to 2 pay, stay on soft 17, no surrender) has so I am better prepared. Again, thank you all!!!
