I don't understand how the blackjack played at MGM and Wynn is only a .09 game in Macau. The numbers are not adding up to me. With a shoe game, RSA, DA2, DAS, split to 4 hands, LS you have a .28 game.

Is the surrender E10 worth .18?

I'm confused how we are arriving at the figure of .09 in Macau?

I think es10 is worth .25 so that would make the game .03 I'm going from memory on that so i could be mistaken.

Late surrender vs 10 = 0.07%
Early surrender vs 10 = 0.24%
Net change from your rules = 0.17%

This is for 8D, S17, but it will be pretty close regardless.
I heart Crystal Math.

This is the figure and my friends come up with as well as Eliot Jacobsen when I emailed and asked him. However the wizard of Macau has it listed at .09 at MGM and Wynn, and .16 at the worse rules place.

I cannot for the life of me figure out if WE are missing something or not. The wizard cannot be that stupid. I wish he could come here and explain how he gets the 0.09. Also it's not me just saying it it's advertised as being a 0.09 game on wizardofmacau and every resource seems to agree with his.

The edge of -0.167% I reported to you assumes NRSA.

With RSA I get -0.098%.

Are there now Blackjack shoe games in Macau? I scouted virtually everywhere when I visited Macau in April 2016 and couldn't find any! It was all CSMs. Have conditions changed?

LOL, how old is your info? Aside from the odd V.I.P. room, there haven't been BJ shoe games in Macau for years. Not just 1 or 2, but many years.

Of course, I've never walked into the lowest end properties like Greek Mythology or Golden Dragon, so maybe you can try your luck there?

No it is completely all CSM. According to the pharoahs palace they offer a game with no house edge. I've never been and don't intend on going, but yes Macau is completely CSM.

Well if you open up the Wizard of Macau site then click on 'Casinos' and look at 'Macau Hotel and Casino Reviews' you'll find that if you open up the links to Venetian and Wynn casinos, the charts there clearly state that CSM's are not used for their bj shoe games. The minimum table limits on the different tables are HKD 10,25,50 100 and 200. The reviews of the table games are quite recent.... Nov. 12th 2015.

that is a good thread. i wanted to ask this for a long time.

firstly of all, 100% all csm.

500HKD is the minimum in wynn and MGM, some small casinos, may, 100,200, 300.

i will cover more rules for pros to make finer answer on house edge.

CSM, ENHC, DA2, DAS, split to 4 hands(including A, as in wynn and mgm, other casinos ,no. but i want answers only on this rule.). one card only to split A, early surrender to 9, 10, no surrender to A, dealer only takes original bet when blackjack. Follow strategy by wizard 100%. surrender: 16Vs 9,10, 14,15V10, 88VS10, 77vs10, stands at 16 of 3 cards VS 10(this strategy can be missed if too hard to simulate),

i tried to do it by many ways, one is by the software:
http://www.theblackjacksimulator.com/
by this, it cannot do the rule of: dealer only takes original bet when blackjack.
i ran 1.5 bill hands to have 0.26%, then above rule is worth 0.11%. so the result is 0.15%.

another way to do it: http://www.bjstrat.net/cgi-bin/cdca.cgi (thanks for this site, l learned EOR is different under different rules.)
the site is recommended by wizard in this link: https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/appendix/7/
it only cannto do the rule of : dealer only takes original bet when blackjack.
the result is 0.2020%, then above rule is worth 0.11%. so the result is 0.0920%.

if no answers from experts, i will take that Eliot understands all rules. and use his version:

The edge of -0.167% I reported to you assumes NRSA.

With RSA I get -0.098%.
