Maximize number of bets (sequential)and minimize loss

| timtamtim Member since: Aug 7, 2010 Threads: 1 Posts: 3 | What is the Veags table game to play if you want to maximize the number of bets (sequential hands, rolls, spins, etc) and minimize the overall expected loss? Let's say with a $1,000 bank roll. I know the best best is all at once, but I am looking for longer play - even though you near the abosolute house advantage the longer you play. |

But how much does it cost to knock on wood? |

I played $5 pai gow poker at silver legacy in Reno for about an hour with a $20 buy-in and left $10 ahead! Living in Las Vegas is not quite as exciting as I had hoped, but I like being able to support myself. |

| timtamtim Member since: Aug 7, 2010 Threads: 1 Posts: 3 | I appreciate everyone's input. However, seems like there should be an equation to calc this. Maybe too many unknowns (like # of hands, spins, rolls per hour, risk of ruin, etc) |

they clean up on the side bet, from what I saw the one time I played it. "Baccarat is a game whereby the croupier gathers in money with a flexible sculling oar, then rakes it home. If I could have borrowed his oar I would have stayed." Mark Twain |

| DJTeddyBear Member since: Nov 2, 2009 Threads: 92 Posts: 4929 | There ARE too many unknowns. The biggest of which is, what do you like to play? What games that you've never played before are you willing to try? Sometimes, I'll describe a game as "You put your chips down, and the casino takes them away." Is that the level of fun you're looking for? Do you want a game that offers options and requires serious decisions? I suggested Pai Gow Poker because, among other things, there is a decision on how to set your hands. Often, the decision is obvious and really is a no brainer. Other times, you DO have to stretch a brain cell or two. If you get stuck, the dealers and other players can help. And, unlike BJ, you can't make a decision that affects the rest of the table. And if played properly, about 40% of the hands are a push. If you want slow paced with no decision, go for Bacarat. The only decision is to bet on Player or Banker. The cards are dealt and losers taken and winners paid. Then the waiting thing begins as all the Asian players scribble notes about the hands. This activity is so encouraged by the casino, that the casino will supply the note pads and pencils. What does THAT tell you? Risk of ruin? Hell, if THAT'S your biggest concern, stay the hell out of the casino. But if you REALLY want to make the cash last, and DON'T care about comps or anything else (like staying awake), play Penny slots. Of course, the typical penny slot has 45 pay lines with up to 5 coins per line, making it $2.25 a spin. I'm talking about 1 line with 1 coin per line. I.E. $0.01 per spin. Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.

I did this one one night on a 9/5 JoB for about 10 hours and it cost me all of 75 cents. And before anyone asks, no I didnt hit a royal and I never have. | NicksGamingStuff Member since: Feb 2, 2010 Threads: 37 Posts: 529 | Well wasting a royal for a $2.50 win (one credit bet) would really suck! Living in Las Vegas is not quite as exciting as I had hoped, but I like being able to support myself. |
