Question for the Wizard:

In Vancouver, BC they recently reintroduced a craps table to the downtown casino ( yeah!!).

While the other Vancouver area casinos do offer a Fire bet, this one offers a a variant of the SharpShooter bet as outlined on Craps Side bets )

For the readers:
"Fire Bet" that pays if the shooter makes at least 3 or 4 different points.
"SharpShooter: a bet is made when a new shooter takes the dice, and pays according to how many times he makes a (any) point.

The Payout table is:

Event Pays
10 500
9 200
8 100
7 50
6 30
5 15
4 9
3 5
<=2 -1

I was hoping you might run through the probability/return calculator for this please?
Is it a better bet than than the Fire Bet at:

Pts MadePays
6 1000
5 250
4 25
<=3 -1

ps: Per Sally's comments, yes the pay tables above are x for 1, not to 1. I took the numbers as they were written on the table,
Thanks!

Thanks!

i try this
the Fire Bet normally pays 1000 for 1
(they keep the original bet)
different from 1000 to 1

but here is both
-0.207627505 (1000 for 1)
-0.197026959 (1000 to 1)

SS bet with your paytable at x to 1
-0.216114029
-0.283067419 (x for 1, i doubt it is this)

just always make at least 10 points each hand and that way no need to care about the house edge
of course
the bet will be removed very quickly when you do this so do not get greedy!

be a 10!
