I'm thinking of trying my luck at a single zero roulette table. I've heard that a few of them are around for $25 minimums and curious if anyone has seen one recently or is this the normal for the high limit room roulette tables? Preferably on the main floor, I'd feel weird buying in for only $200 at a high limit room. Euro/only single zero, I don't care.

Also, I assume that at a $25 minimum that means that the "unit" size is $5 and like on $5 tables the outside is $25 and inside is $5 but needs to add up to $25? Stay will be Tuesday from around 3pm to Wednesday around 5am. If you can give me an exact location as compared to "MGM" that would be great, but something is better than nothing. Thank you.

According to the Wizard's roulette survey, Mirage, MGM and Aria have $25 euro tables on the main floor. I'm afraid I don't know anything beyond that. Good luck with your trip, that is a really short visit!

Yeah I've mentioned this before and people have mentioned that it was not there when they visited. Seeing as I'll be around for ridiculous hours I might be able to find them.

My bankroll is $1500 and my playing style is pretty balls-out so I can't last more than a day there, as well as me only having class off on Tuesdays.

I can't vouch for this list as I think it is very old

Bellagio Two wheels are located in the Baccarat room in Pit 6. At least one runs 24 hours.
Caesars Palace Two wheels: One on the main casino floor and one in the high-limit area. Hours vary.
Las Vegas Hilton One wheel in the high-limit room. Open upon high-roller request and during major conventions and special events.
Luxor One wheel in the high-limit room open on weekends only.
Mandalay Bay Two wheels in the Baccarat room open 24 hours. One wheel on the casino floor open weekends only.
MGM Grand Two wheels: one in the high-limit area of the main casino and one in The Mansion. Both are open basically 24 hours (could be closed for cleaning at times, though).
Mirage Two wheels: One on the main casino floor open 24 hours and one in the high-limit area open upon high-roller request.
Monte Carlo One wheel open Friday and Saturday nights only.
Paris One wheel in the high-limit area. Open upon high-roller request.
Stratosphere One wheel on the main floor open 24 hours.
Venetian Two wheels: one on main floor open 24 hours and one in the Baccarat room open when the casino is busy.
Wynn Two wheels in the high-roller room. At least one runs 24 hours.

The MGM and Aria are definitely your best bets. Both floor tables are open during popular hours (can't vouch for 24 hour continuous action), and have $25 limits. These tables also have the "en prison" rule that returns 50% of your E/C bet when 0 comes in. Most, if not all single zero tables in the high limit rooms (e.g. Bellagio) have $100 limits.

Unless you have a large bankroll, you should avoid the high limit rooms. The reason is that very often you are the only one at the table and the game moves incredibly fast (especially when only one E/C bet is being made). I've seen games that move at an incredible 80 spins per hour. The floor games generally have several players, and the game moves at a more reasonable pace. To the best of my knowledge, the two games (high limit & floor) are rated the same when it comes to comps.

You should also be aware that single 0 games have only 50% of the comp value of 00 games. And, if you are betting Even Chances (E/C's) with en prison, the game is rated the same as playing BJ.

One of the primary disadvantages of slots is not just the house edge but the fact that there are usually so very many times that you hit that little red button making that house edge work against you relentlessly.

Craps tables move the dice fast on the strip, a bit slower downtown and I'm told its even slower off in the hinterlands of Boulder. The absolute fastest I've ever seen was on a now defunct gambling dayboat in Florida. The boats have the blackjack dealers go lickity split too. Yet, I've seen one really slow roulette wheel and that was on the dayboat out of Palm Beach, Florida.

I've had baccarat dealers mention to me that things go very fast when you are the only player at the table ... obviously coming just about as close to a hint to me as they can.

Speed is important. Its supposed to fun. We want the fun, we don't want molasses in Winter, but we don't want ultra fast action either.
