According to CalorieLab.com, each McNugget weighs an average of 16 grams. 150 would be 2,400 grams or 5.29 pounds.

In perspective, according to FoodChallenges.com, the Du-Par's Pancake challenge involved about 3.5 lbs. of food. To eat 150 McNuggets would involve 51% more food by weight.

Edit: The pancakes are the equivalent of ~99 McNuggets by weight.

Sons birthday is today. He wanted to go to Mcd for lunch. Since i am on a diet and doing weight watchers I was trying to figure out what to eat. I ended up getting a 6 piece nugget and small fry. The nuggets are 1 point each. I get 40 points a day so 150 nuggets would be 4 days worth of my food intake.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed. I AM NOT PART OF GWAE RADIO SHOW

Wow, sounds like my kind of diet. If I could eat 10 McNuggets and a small fry per day I would not need to eat anything else. That is more food than I typically eat in a day.

Ten pieces of McNuggets has 470 calories, and their small fries has 230 calories, for a total of 700 calories.

What, only consume 700 calories per day?

A surprising claim, given that the recommended daily requirement is around 2000.

I don't count calories but that would be more than enough food for me on a typical day. I may also consume a few cocktails.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

When I first heard from Mike, I was good for no more than 125. Been practicing for two weeks and improving only marginally, but I know if I keep trying can get a lot better in two months. Buffet or a big meal at home every day. Except it's been so heavy on fruit, veggies, oatmeal, sugar free cheesecake, et cetera, that there have been some intestinal side effects that lady friend is complaining about. May not be worth it to keep pushing myself like this. Have to stop at Target for a Gas-X and Beano stack.

As someone else said, 150 McNuggets is close to six pounds. I can do over six pounds at the buffet already -- and should get even more comfortable with that amount as the weeks go by. But then the whole question is: how does six pounds of salad, soup, and ice tea compare to six pounds of meat, breading, fat, grease, and salt? I contend there isn't a huge difference. Others insist they are worlds apart.

I'm willing to give anyone the best odds you can find on an under and number, 133, 167, 175, 200, 225, 250. Action points would be great.

What impact has this massive consumption of food had on your weight / waist size?

Trenchermen that don't get fat must have "a high metabolism," or perhaps they quietly puke after every massive meal?

That would definitely cause me to stroke out. My normal blood pressure is around 183/131 and that is when I am taking my BP pills.

I am not participating in this wager, other than as a spectator, because it is just not my kind of thing. However, if I were to get into it, I think that before I took the over, I would want to see TomG having money on the over on at least as high a number. Incentives and all that.

Lost about six to eight pounds in the past two weeks of practicing. Tough to gain weight on one meal per day that's mostly just water (fruit, veggies, yogurt, et cetera). The time involved (preparing everything, eating for 30 to 60 minutes, then cleaning up) has replaced my previous exercise time, which has further decreased the amount of Calories I'm eating. Buffet this weekend will involve a pizza, fried catfish, ice cream, and lots of whatever version of miniature fried chicken they offer. Hopefully that will reverse the weight loss, and from now on I'll only be practicing every other day to avoid it happening any more

Need better odds than that for 200. I know it's possible, but the chances of doubling the current record has to be quite a bit lower than 20%. At a certain point the difficulty between each milestone is definitely not linear

My son, an expert on these matters, analyzed the pancake eating, and would not be surprised if he makes the 175. I did not ask him about 200.

Mike, since there are going to be many 'price points', please define a success. If the combatant throws up while eating nugget 176, with nuggets 173-175 still in his mouth, what is his official total? If I recall in past competitions the combatant had to keep the nuggets in for some defined period of time, I think 10 minutes?

Its the same rules as when he did it, only no running or crosswords. Yes, he has to keep them down for 10 minutes since the last Nugget. Good question. I think according to the rules we would have to go by where he was at 10 minutes before throwing up. I'm open to other suggestions, but I think we should note the time of major milestones. He won't get credit for passing them until 10 minutes later without vomiting.

I will pay $85 in exchange for $15 for every nugget over 175 (200 max). Would make the bet:
-175 or under you win $85
-176 to 180 you win between $10 and $70
-181 to 200 I win between $5 and $290

That would make 200 be a $1000 profit. With a month still to go to get even more down

Had been practicing every day. Then this week had some bad intestinal and stomach side effects, so probably going to cut back until every third day until the challenge date. Have a formula that gives me an achievable number based on what how many plates at the buffet. Today put me over 150 -- and that's using a conservative estimate while also finishing the meal in relatively comfortable shape
