Is it a good idea?

Yes, you too are well into your Farthood. "Baccarat is a game whereby the croupier gathers in money with a flexible sculling oar, then rakes it home. If I could have borrowed his oar I would have stayed." Mark Twain |

Some people I used to work with got on a discussion of this topic a few years back. They concluded that while being "popular" seemed to be an extremely important thing in high school, the concept, or at least the term, tended to vanish from our thinking as we got to be 20 or 25. The notable exceptions to this were politicians and entertainers. Most everyone else, once they matured a bit, seemed to be more interested in compatibility and acceptance. I didn't vote in the poll: I have never tweeted or read a tweet, and I neither have a facebook page nor have ever looked at anyone else's. The whole subject seems irrelevant to my life, so I have no input as to how anyone else should or shouldn't use it. I sorta think it would be great if businesses pushed their marketing programs through those channels and stopped bombarding me with their messages in other forms. |

What I meant to be asking was whether or not it would be a good idea for the Wizard to promote the site via Facebook and Twitter, and if so which method would be preferred. Everyone's talking about it, there are articles all over the place, but when you want to know what it is no one can give you an naswer that makes sense. I swear, all I get about Facebook is that "it's a place where you can list your friends." I do ahve a subscription in Tweeter, but I've yet to find a use for it. I mean, something it does that you couldn't otherwise do with tools already available on the internet. It bugs me because I was using the internet as far back as 1992, long before most people even knew it existed, and so far I've kept up with it. A soul is a terrible thing to waste on religion |

Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
But how much does it cost to knock on wood? |

Naw, I think he probably meant a couple millibytes. Games were really small back then. |

I think it's amazing that any program so small could run, much less do something. BTW I once owned a Radio Shack Color Computer with 4 KB RAM and a tape recorder for storage. A soul is a terrible thing to waste on religion |
