Im planning a vegas trip for New Years and apperently I played enough last time I was at Caesars to earn a 5 night comp at any of the Total Rewards hotels. I am looking to stay in the middle of the strip and the best rooms I can get with this comp are at Caesars AgustusTower Delux and Bally's North Tower Grand Suite.

I have read some mixed reviews about Bally's North Tower Grand Suite, but its nearly 800 sq ft with a jacuzzi in the main room. But the Agustus Tower Delux Room is still 650 sq ft and haven't ready any bad reviews yet.

Has anyone stayed in either of these rooms, and if so, thoughts?

Also, if you have any suggestions at Total Rewards hotels other than these 2 please let me know. I don't think I qualify for a suite at any of the other hotels though, just up to the nicest standard rooms.

Thanks

Oh, I just saw I can also stay at the Roman Tower Room but looks like its only 400 sq ft.

Augustus Tower is the ONLY place I'll stay now. You'll get a room with an INCREDIBLE view, and the rooms are really nice.

I don't think there is any chance Bally's will come close to the room experience you will get at Caesars. I should say that I have stayed at Caesars in a very nice upgrade, but I have never stayed at Bally's, so I am only guessing at what Bally's might be like. We have stayed at Paris a number of times, while our friends have stayed at Paris and Bally's, and they say Paris rooms are much nicer than Bally's. And Caesars was nicer than Paris, so that is the basis for my statements.

Now to the gambling and BR. I like to play where I stay, and take roughly $1K per day for craps play. At this play level, I felt completely ignored at Caesars, almost like I was a flea. After 3 days I quit playing there and went back to Paris to gamble. I cannot imagine any scenario that would get me back to Caesars to stay and gamble.

Ditto everything RaleighCraps said. Paris has become my choice to stay after I found myself constantly crossing the street to play. That said, Cearsars rooms have always been great. Have fun.

I voted Caesars though I have never stayed there. I'm only posting since the previous posters don't seem to have stayed at Bally's. I have stayed there quite a few times but never in a suite, so I can't really comment on the kind of room you have been offered. The standard rooms in the north tower are reasonably large (a little smaller than the standard rooms at Rio, though) and quite serviceable, though they are nothing really special. I frequently stay at Rio and Bally's because the rooms are cheap or free even for a low roller like me.

Unlike RaleighCraps, I have no compulsion to focus my play in the casino where I stay -- even if I did, my game is going to get me treated pretty much like a flea. The only time that Raleigh and I met (in Biloxi) we played at his hotel/casino, Beau Rivage, which is much nicer than the Grand Biloxi (a Caesars property) where I was staying.

You might consider Planet Hollywood, especially if you prefer modern decor and fewer children/non-playing tourists. The remodeling really helped it.

I've done both. No question Caesars is the place to go. The only drawback to the the Augustus rooms is that if you want to go to bed early (or sleep late), they can be a bit loud. Especially the south facing rooms, where you can both see (yay!) and hear (boo!) the Bellagio's fountain shows.

Awesome, thanks for all the advice. I think I will definately go with Caesars. There is something awesome/baller about having a jacuzzi in the room at Bally's but I feel that it would be more of a novelty than a useful item.

I have no propensity towards only gaming at the casino I stay at. Do you know if they'll hound me about playing if I end up at other casinos or simply dont play those limits this time?

They are not going to hound you. Any room charges will not receive any comps, other than what you have earned with your Total Reward card. I would expect the worst thing to happen would be you won't see much in the way of offers from Caesars anymore, if you stay there but don't do much gambling there.

The room I had at Caesars had a 2 person tub with jacuzzi jets, and a bidet, so you might get one yet.
