You can find some really great sets on ebay if you shop around. Just remember that poker chip sets aren't light so expect to pay a bit in shipping. Ebay is a great way to get a unique set for a decent price. |

Thanks, I have been shopping around for a couple days, learning whats 'good' etc. I have a Prime Amazon account so I am able to get free shipping on certain items. I was just curious if there is any experience with certain budget brands, or a specific set that stood out as a great deal. I trust the folks here to find the good stuff over the Amazon reviewers who may not know the difference between chip quality. |

Unless you think regular casino chips are too light, 13.5g is going to be too heavy for you. I'd do some reading: http://www.pokerchipreviews.com/ http://www.chiptalk.net/ "In my own case, when it seemed to me after a long illness that death was close at hand, I found no little solace in playing constantly at dice."

Thanks, I ordered the King's Casino sample set. I sure am glad I stumbled upon the sample sets, since there isnt a good variety of good reviews on some chips. |

Look this up on Amazon, it's about $50 with shipping which is pretty awesome for Chinese crap: 500 Silver Eagle Poker Chip Set with Free WPT Rule Book. 14 Gram Heavy Weighted Poker Chips. |

| stinky Member since: Jun 17, 2011 Threads: 0 Posts: 13 | Man I got a problem. I ordered a few samples. Then started reading on Chiptalk, and now I feel like the money spent of the samples is wasted, since they seem to prefer the China Clay chips for budget chips. I pretty much found opinions on my samples and generally arent great. I'll have to convince the wife to allow me a little more $$$ for some Desert Palms or Pharoh's. |

Go for the heavy ones, even if you're not used to them. You won't regret it, they feel great. Incidentally, the lightest real casino chips I ever held were the 25c at Crown Casino in Melbourne Australia - they almost float out of your hand! If nothing will change then I am nothing. |
