I was wondering about that. Basic rule of promotional photos is you use attractive people even if you have to rent them. The photographer must have been running late to a big lunch engagement. The Taj Mahal garage seems to have an inordinate number of severe problems, and they don't seem willing or able to do much about them. Eight o'clock in the morning isn't such an unusual time, even at a casino. ON a 24-hour schedule, that is typically when the dayside arrives. "ATLANTIC CITY — One man was shot to death and a woman was wounded during an apparent carjacking that authorities believe began inside the parking garage of an Atlantic City casino early Sunday. Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel says three “people of interest” were being sought in the incident, which occurred around 8 a.m. in the area of the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort. They apparently fled the scene on foot after the shooting occurred. Police responding to 911 calls soon found the victims inside their vehicle, which was in an alley not far from the casino. Twenty-eight-year-old Sunil Rattu of Old Bridge was killed in the incident, while 24-year-old Radha Ghetia of Parlin was being treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus."--acpress |

Owner Taubman Centers Inc. now owes lenders $149.7 million on the property, but previously estimated its worth at $52 million - less than half its $115 million assessment. Starting bids for the property, which is unaffiliated with Caesars Atlantic City, have not been determined. Taubman representatives declined comment Wednesday. But a court order issued Tuesday states Taubman will continue running the property until the sale, which is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., a legal notice to be published Thursday states. The sale will cap off a process that began more than two years ago, when Taubman announced it no longer could pay its mortgage on The Pier. . . . Resorts AC is sure trying to get my business. They are offering me tons of rooms for free, promotions nearly every day, comp tickets to C-grade shows. It's sad with the nicer winter we've had this year that AC can't get its act together. [Profile updated... more to come] |
