I'll be in Southern IN from 2/28 to 3/4. I'm staying at HSI, and I'm planning on giving them some play. I'm familiar with their table game offerings, but I'm not sure what they have for VP. Can someone tell me what their better games are?

Sure. Their best game is Super Aces Bonus at 99.94% payback. However, the lowest denomination you can find it at is $.50, so for full-pay you'd have to risk $2.50 a spin. Bit much for a game with a variance of 60, which is ENORMOUS. However, if you hit the Aces for $1,000 any number of times, you'll be sitting pretty. You can find this game at the second and third floor bars.

The most prevalent good game is 9/6 Jacks or Better at 99.54% payback. You can play this game for $.25 at the slant tops on the bottom floor by the Envy bar. The only problem is that the glare there is horrible. It is also often populated with smokers. If you want to move up a denomination, you can play for $0.50 at any of the casino bars (including Envy), or -- my favorite place -- the non-smoking slant tops on the floor by the poker room. You can also play for $0.25 at the uprights in the video poker section about a straight line directly across from the entrance to JB's Deli. All these machines mentioned also have the same games in dollars.

There are a number of other "bonus" games with high-returning paytables that are on the same machines, but I don't know the strategy for those and have never played them. Check out http://www.vpfree2.com

Hope that helps!

Thanks! Looks like lots of good options to choose from when I get burned out playing BJ.

If you play for any serious money be sure to go to the high-limit room on the top deck by the Diamond Lounge. $25 minimums, but S17 + Surrender and WAY better atmosphere.

I'm never sure if it's better to play on deck 3, count, but have to put up with with drunk hicks and smoke, or if it's better to play in HL minimizing drunks and smoke, but take heat for counting. (and yes, the fact that I'm not sure which is better is a commentary on my lack of counting skills...:-) )
