As most gamblers play negative expectation games, it is a given that A Lot of money is transferred from their pockets to the casinos'.

I've got to wonder what effect, if any, this is having on the overall financial health of the gamblers?

I wonder if any analysis has been done, as to the per capita drain on the savings of gamblers since casinos exploded?

We should all sock away money, both for emergencies and for retirement: how much of this have the casinos induced us to hand over to them?

In other words, I wonder what percentage of our discretionary income is going to the casino's coffers?

No way that's the actual gaming floor-look closely at the roulette there is no where for the dealer and the wheel would be impossible for them to reach

They are renderings from their website. I agree with you. There has to be room for dealers and the pit crew. I'm not sure I like the brightness either but I'm sure the finished product will look good.

Why spend more than 1 Billion on a project that doesn't work 100%?

My amateur opinion is that the architects /rendering artists are not casino specialists; they just put some gaming tables in the space .

The floor plan is counterproductive to gambling; it should wind around through tables grouped to create more intimate pits.

The long, wide aisle creates a funneling effect through and out of the casino, when the intent is to help people linger, let games catch their interest.

Nothing looks shabby and grubby faster than white furniture. The spills, stuff on clothing, heavy use; they're going to double the typical cleaning and replacement costs.

There's an intimidating, almost factory feel to it with the brightness and regimentation. Emphasizes "we're here to take all your money, all of you".

It will be really loud with all the hard surfaces and high ceilings. Sounds echo across the room. This is something I don't like about Mohegan, fwiw (maybe it was Foxwoods? I was there briefly ). Anyway, it's a high ceilinged grey stone floors and walls casino; you couldn't hear yourself think, let alone relax for the noise bouncing around.

I really doubt the interior will actually look much like that. Maybe keep the color scheme since it's tied into the building components. JMHO.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Doesn't the asian games pit/room/thing at Foxwoods look basically just like that drawing of this casino? I'm sure they're just trying to capture a feel that they know "works". Why drive all that way from Boston if we have identical stuffs right here!!

The Ceiling in Mohegan Sun is high enough to accommodate a three story onyx mountain and a 55' waterfall with room to spare.

That may be why MS has much better air quality than low ceiling casinos.

Foxwoods is low ceiling and the air quality there is poor.

Look a little closer.

Those are all low profile tables.

IE: Chairs, not stools.

Is there a reason that just about all casinos have high tables with stools? Especially in the world of ads conpliance in am surprised that tables haven't been lowered.

Was the artist ever in a casino ? Chairs for the dealers and croupiers. 3 chairs for the roulette players, etc.
But sometimes the artist is related to the builder. Explains some of the monstrosity in front of government building, where 1 % goes toward art.

Prospects of this casino ever opening seemed dead and buried over five years ago. Perhaps not.
