I'll be staying about 1/2 in between these 2 casinos next weekend. While its really not a gambling trip, I'll probably have some time to head to one of these for some blackjack. I understand the rules are similar (3/2, S17, Surrender), but what about table mins? Drinks? Anyone who has been to both have a preference?

As expected, we had some free time this afternoon, so chose Delaware Park. Grabbed the shuttle "trolly" from the parking lot and headed on inside. Casino is set up narrow, but long (follows the home stretch). Plenty of $10 tables available with nice rules. 6 Decks, S17, DSA, noRSA, SUR, 80% pen. Was up a fair amount when some bad variance kicked in and I ended the day at even (ok up $2). Sad hand of the day...Mid size bet out, A7 vs dealer 4, double 10 for 18, dealer flips over 8, 2, A, A, 5 UGHHHH!!!! In that shoe at one point dealer pulled 21 6 out of 10 hands (Where is Ace when I need him!)

My wife (the slots player) ended up $300, so it was a fruitful quick trip from that perspective.

The casino was nice, 2 levels, so its bigger than it appears. The dealers were ok, not super friendly, but after one ploppy hit 14 vs dealer 3, he double checked before hitting (she still hit), and he ended up making his hand. He looked at a couple of us and said best I can do is ask :/

Looked for some VP, but during our short search came up empty (strange) must be there somewhere.

All in all a nice was to spend a couple of free hours this afternoon.

Thanks for checking back in about your trip, a little too far North for me to have chimed in. I'm not sure video poker (even with bad returns) is worth it for some of these states with confiscatory tax policies on gaming. I know that Charlestown WV's terrible video poker is hidden in a corner.

Looks like they, at least, have some full pay JoB at the $5 level.

Thanks Ahiromu - Glad I didn't find them... I'm a much lower roller than $5! They must have been tucked away somewhere though, we walked through the 2nd floor for a while.

Yep Deleware Park has great penetration and great rules for a low minimums. Way better than MD LIVE as far as blackjack goes.

Only thing is they are on the prowl for counters... They have a silly rule there that says you can't split 10's! LMFAO... So throw out those index plays.

They watched me spread like a madman but I wasn't rolling high enough for them to tell me to stop playing but I was receiving constant attention from the pitboss. Came over to talk it up throughout the shoe.

As far as Perryville hollywood it's not a bad joint joint either. But its much smaller than Deleware park and you'll be backed off from Bj soon after stepping through the door.

spent the day at delaware park for the first time today. the best BJ is on the machines of course. look them over carefully, all of them have different rules. some shuffle every hand, some dont, some are 2 3rds of a 6 deck shoe like some NV casinos, and as far as i know, DE dont have the same funny rule on this PA has about everyone needing their own shoe?

theres enough machines where at the slow time of day u wont have to worry about other people sitting, if they do theres a machine to move to. they give comp points, and they pay 3-2. some stand on soft 17, some dont, like i said look the rules over carefully. im sure some u can get over 100% payback on. but id like a chance to meet a local actually doing this and consult with him about other VBJ machines anywhere in the Northeast coast.

surely some of u readers are beating these machines right?
