No loss for me, craps table not open 24/7, being a morning player, was a deal breaker.

I just heard about this an hour ago from a pit supervisor at Hollywood St. Louis. If pit personnel two states away are talking about it, maybe it's a big deal in the region.

Wondered why I was getting such good offers from them. I'd only been there once for about 3 hours and they were over-comping me like crazy. I did like the property; it had a lot of potential. Though this may just be a move to get public pressure on the landlord, reading the article.

It was small and poorly funded. Management had different goals. One woman wanted to bring in better acts but once a young female performer died during a performance the executive was out the door but fast.

Its always outsiders who think that local entrenched money interests will yield when in reality its the local interests that will prevail.

We stopped at Margaritaville Biloxi this afternoon for a quick break from a long drive back from Florida. The casino had very little business (I was the only one playing craps, most machines and tables were empty, as was the restaurant).

The dealers I talked with (the best source of information around...okay...not really) said that the owners wanted the keys now and that there will be a hearing that could lead to the casino closing as early as tomorrow. That seems possible based on a quick search that showed the casino management as being substantially behind on rent and tax payments.

That's truly sad. They have been mailing me wall-to-wall offers the last 2 months, at least 2 a week. Was looking forward to returning.

We'll see what happens, but it is pretty glum there as of today. Everyone was nice enough, but many just kind of had a defeated look... The hearing could go the casino's way; they could stay open.

My thoughts are with dealers from other shops who thought this was the Holy Grail, I mean Jimmy's place, nothing can possibly go wrong.... I'm sure I'll some of them again.
