I hereby nominate “Casinos at Sea” for the Worst Slot Club in the World. There are plenty of “Best of” categories and polls, so why not the “Worst of” ?
I found this slot club on a Norwegian Cruise line this summer. Points seem fairly standard at $ 5 coin-in for Slots and $ 10 coin-in for Video Poker. But the MINIMUM NUMBER OF POINTS REQUIRED FOR REDEMPTION IS PRETTY HIGH (2500 points).
Redemption levels:
100 Reward points for $ 1 for onboard charges to Food & Beverage and Shore Excursions. That’s 0.2 % for Slots and 0.1 % for VP.
or...
200 Reward points for $ 1 for on-board ship charges at the gift shop. That’s 0.1 % for Slots and 0.05 % for Video Poker.
My understanding is that this is run by Caesar’s Entertainment.
FREE DRINKS – to earn a Free Drink card, 1500 points are required for a 5 day or longer itinerary. So just $ 15,000 in coin-in ? The pit boss ocaissionally offers players a drink, so I did get a beer by playing blackjack one afternoon.
TOURNAMENTS – These seemed to be run pretty smoothly, BUT the rules weren’t posted anywhere, which didn’t seem to matter to most people. I asked to see them for the BJ tournament and someone found a copy after about 5 or 10 minutes. It looked to me like the prize pool was about 20 % of the entry fees. Way too stingy imho. You had to have the table high score to move on, AND one of the top 6 scores overall to make the final table.
VP Paytables – I don’t know all the paybacks for the games they had, but the best one I found was 6-5 bonus poker with 30 for 4 of a kind, which should put this somewhere around 97 %, I think.
One positive note is that I hit a Royal Flush on this silly machine on the last day the casino was open, and I was a little ahead before that. So I departed the next day with an extra ten $ 100 bills in my wallet.
Any other nominations ?

There's emptiness behind their eyes
There's dust in all their hearts
They just want to steal us all and take us all apart

Sadly it is gone, but The Western had a players club where you redeem points for unless junk like a paper towel holder.

haha
And minus any mailers they send out, JohnnyQ, those are the same earning criteria that CET gives for Reward Credits...
Coincidence? I think not. The free drink card is pretty harsh though.
Also 30/6/5 is closer to 96% (96.18%), which is also the best game available at the Mirage Sports Bar. CET bars in Vegas are better than that place... :-\

Quote: MatthewdsI heard that many casinos were very good few years ago, but now they delay payments. It's a one of the reason why so many go down! So sad, when this industry makes so money!

To me Penn national is useless. It's the only company Ive ever seen publicly complaining about how generous other companies are.
I am a robot.
